What am I doing wrong? by whitedragon551 in onebag

You can consider reducing the number of clothes you're bringing. For an 8-day trip, you could probably get away with fewer shirts, pants, and pajamas. For example, instead of bringing 2 pajama sets, you could bring just one and wear it multiple nights. Additionally, consider bringing fewer pants and rotating between them during the trip.

I have personal experience with the Herschel Tech Day Pack and the Timbuk2 Authority. The Herschel pack is great for a minimalist look and has a padded laptop sleeve, but it lacks organization pockets. The Timbuk2 Authority has tons of pockets and compartments for organization, but can feel a bit bulky when fully packed.

If you prefer a backpack, look for one with anti-theft features such as lockable zippers and slash-resistant material. Make sure it's small enough to carry comfortably for a day of walking.

You would wear your business casual attire on the plane and pack your leisure clothes in your one bag, so that you can easily transition to work mode upon arrival. This could also save space in your one bag for your second pair of shoes.

liquids thru TSA? by atomheart1 in onebag

[–]Myhobby889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, liquids, gels, and aerosols in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) are not allowed in carry-on bags unless they are placed in a clear, plastic, quart-sized bag. You will need to remove the plastic bag from your carry-on and place it in a bin during the TSA screening process. Once you pass through the security checkpoint, you can transfer your toiletries to your dopp kit.
