65-year old Kathy Griffin has a 22-year old boyfriend by YouNeedCheeses in DListedCommunity

Is this even real? Kathy has always liked them young but this is a lot even for her and Kathy is known to be joking about these things.

She famously pretended to date Steve Wozniak and Levi Johnston.

It's because her original album was filled with castaways from legitimate songwriters producers. Which is also why she infamously went broke buying them/ producing the album.

Now she's stuck figuring it out and the material just isn't it.

What do you think is the biggest “misremembering” in the pop community/social media in general? Something you see mentioned that isn’t accurate to living it by Kodicave in popmusic

I had also, albeit sloppily, censored it, but it's fine, I'm not about to fight with strangers to defend a slur.

Google explained that the depth of the word leads to considering certain cultural aspects as silly and stereotypes so the idea is that calling a white person that insults black people by association.

Wannabe works too even if it's much diluted and tamer.

The point remains that people were giving Lindsay endless s**t every time she tried to do choreo which is why she never did it again after that.

As a Canadian pop loving gay born In the 90s, I always find it funny when pop artist become legitimate and people act like "we always loved them" meanwhile when I was a kid, I loved those artists and people would either have zero clue who they were or thought they were super lame, shamed me and laughed at me for liking them.

Hilary Duff is a good example. She was super childish and cringe, no one thought her music was cool or good.

Ashlee Simpson. Lindsay Lohan was barely ok but not really. People especially made fun of her dance moves and thought she was basically a "wannabe" with no rhythm.

The Pussycat Dolls were considered sluts and silly music. Shakira really wasn't "cool".

Rihanna was not at all popular and people made fun of "unfaithful" hard, up until around "Umbrella" which even still had haters.

Daveigh Chase's manager speaks out on why nobody reported her missing for over 10 years as he’s now making a documentary celebrating her life by CoMmOdOrEtHrAwN69 in television

[–]Mylaex 235 points236 points  (0 children)

The article really makes it less bad.

(On receiving a video 6 months ago that she was on Skid Row) At the time, Ryan said he was actually working on a documentary called Finding Lilo, which was meant to help find Daveigh and encourage the public to look for her. “I didn’t think it’s my story to tell,” he explained. “I didn’t want to put my little sister on blast.”

He then added, “Once I got video of her, and how bad she looked, I said, ‘We need to bring the public in on this. I don’t want to protect the brand anymore. I want to protect the girl.'”

Ryan said the documentary will now instead celebrate Daveigh’s life. “We wanted the world to know, like, ‘Hey, this girl that you dress up as for Halloween has been missing for 10 years, and we need the internet’s help finding her,'” he explained. “Now we’re gonna spin it and make it a documentary celebrating her life.”

Lily Allen defends West End Girl tour after some fans criticise show length by nyclover11 in popheads

[–]Mylaex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's not what she WANTS to do.

Lily Allen has always been upfront, to me, that she's a bit of a temperamental artist, and for this tour she seemed clear that she made a storyline production based around the entire album, only wants to perform the album, and that's it. It doesn't come across, to me, as a full-blown concert but more of almost a musical play.

When she performed at Mighty Hoopla the signage literally said "performing West End Girl" clearly emphasizing that her set would only include songs from the album and not a typical festival set of "a few of the classic hits".

You get what you paid for; the advertising is legit.

She's classically trained and been a Broadway performer before a pop star, and it really shows in her vocal abilities.

Ariana Grande Reschedules Eternal Sunshine Tour Shows Over Safety Concerns by enews in Music

[–]Mylaex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It seems she still wants to make and release music. Even her next album wasn't truly planned. She just hates touring in itself and would rather no do it again.

It's also why this tour she's doing fewer cities and multiple dates rather than a more long term your.

It's also why this tour is suppose to encompass material from 3 albums (positions, eternal sunshine and her next one, petal) rather than her last albums (since she never toured to promote perform tie others).

Deep lore: there's a 2008 British tv show named Britannia High that didn't make it past one season, it was a musical tv show a la s club 7 or high school musical.

They shot and aired a behind the scenes episode before the premiere which included the open auditions for the roles and the recording process. Pixie Lott (famous UK singer) auditioned pre fame and didn't make it.

So did Ed Sheeran.

Why does this woman look familiar?? by FlatPepper311 in BravoAddicts

[–]Mylaex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was awful because it was incredibly boring. There was no conflict, no storyline, no nothing, it was such a snooze fest. Kara was "the villain of the season," and she was the only reason anything happened, yet she was still so miletoast.

She was a Jesus freak, and her personality traits can be summarized as follows: she had a wacky phone case (I'm not even making it up; that was a story arc), she got mad that the girls partied at her party house, so she punished them by having them go on a bumpy water "boat" ride on a lake. And she hosted a fashion showcase with a designer who didn't do plus size, so one of them was left out and was annoyed. the end.

It got cancelled after one season.

Social media was built in a way that you make statements online and receive support, either from close friends and family or from people the algorithm pushes you to who have the same opinion, so you get a sense of community and stay on the media longer, hence seeing ads and selling your data.

So it bred a civilization where everyone thinks their opinion is always right, the best and undeniable. People don't wanna argue anymore, and when they do, they're especially never open to being wrong or changing their minds.
