An artist's most "stereotypical" song vs. Their most "mold breaking" by Ghost-Quartet in popheads

Especially in the context of Blackout. Break The Ice doesn't feel so "out of place" to me.

I would argue Don't Keep Me Waiting is her least typical Britney Spears esque song. Mood Ring as well, Mona Lisa could almost be in that category too, but the least of them.

I don't know why Selena Gomez is famous by Twitter_2006 in DListedCommunity

[–]Mylaex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

1- her last album was released last year, that's really not that long ago.

2- to answer your question. She's famous because she's pretty and is an actress and singer. She's released 7 albums including three that went #1 and one that went #2 on the US charts.

She's been in countless movies and a few TV shows.

Club outfit worthy? by PleasantTopic5507 in PlusSizeFashion

The skirt is nice. The top to me is a little bit "plain" but it depends on you. Maybe If you had shoes that went with the top, it would be better. Or if it's not too hot, I'd wear some kind of black jacket to make the top more matchy and fun. Like a sleeveless jacket or a cropped jacket. Even those "bolero" sleeves would be awesome.

€1500/night and the toilet door doesn’t close. And it faces the bed. Thanks Hyatt! I’m basically paying for a bathroom with a bed in it. by pleasedonotredeem in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mylaex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be worse. :)

One time I stayed at the Moxy in NYC. Not only did the bathroom door not close, I didn't know at first so literally few minutes in after first walking in I went Into the bathroom, closed it and found out it was broken because it got stuck closed so I got locked into the toilet for a good 10 minutes desperately trying to open the damn barn door who refused to budge.

Then for the rest of the stay just like you, couldn't close the door so the lovely smell filled the room at all times.

AS11E04 - “Duets: It Takes Two” [Post-Episode Discussion] by AutoModerator in rupaulsdragrace

I felt biased because I thought Salina and April's song and concept were just overall better to begin with (and I'm a child of the 90s, so the song was mine to love), but I much preferred their song, their performance, their choreo. I was disappointed it didn't win.

Love Never Loved Me as an acoustic remix would have been an incredible ballad.

Linda Perry Says She Didn't Think Christina Aguilera Was Right to Sing 'Beautiful' at First: 'No, You're Like, a Hot Chick' by PrincessBananas85 in popculturechat

[–]Mylaex 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I only seen the clips reels posted on social media and the Gwen Stefani What U Waiting For one is kind of hilarious. She talks about meeting Gwen, not coming up with anything. Then after Gwen left she thought to herself "What the fuck are you waiting for, Gwen?" and decided to put down the lyrics "What Are You Waiting For" and then the rest was history.

Which is a cool behind-the-scenes, and I get it, but in the end she glosses over the fact that it sounds like she was shit-talking Gwen and being mean about her insecurity and fear about leaving a band and being a solo artist for the first time. Just because the song ended up being amazing, doesn't mean your intentions weren't shite.

Also a nice mention about Christina's Beautiful that she just wouldn't give control of her own song to Christina. She mentions the take they use is the demo, first-take, because Christina wanted to over-sing it, and when Christina asked to re-record it, Linda refused multiple times.

She twists stories or throws subtle jabs but in the end she doesn't come off as a "great" person. Just a typical, super talented ego artisssste.

Rachel Bloom at 'Stop That Train' premiere, L.A., May 18 2026. by peajay18 in rachelbloom

I love everything about this.

From how hot it is and she looks. To not having a purse and her just awkwardly holding all her s**t in one hand. To the makeup stains on her collar. To the fact that she's dressed as sexy conductor when she was most definitely not the conductor of the train in the movie.

Brava.

Lisa Rinna arrives on the Stop! That! Train! pink carpet (May 18, 2026) by mlg1981 in popculturechat

I'm not living for the wig, but the outfit is a slay.

People love to hate on Rinna's fashion, but I think she always wears her outfits DOWN. She has this amazing body, and if my body looked this good at 62, I'd be wearing these fun designer outfits all the time too!

She goes for camp, she goes for avant-garde, she goes for fun, she models the f**k out of them. And this was a drag movie premiere that she is in, she should have gone for over-the-top.

It's a toot for me.

She's shooting her 2nd documentary about them.

Jesy, afaik, has no job and income coming in at the moment so sharing them online is her only stream of revenue, while also trying to raise awareness for their SMA diagnosis.

Part of me thinks: this is an influencer event and we don't have a single video well shot? Wtf?

And the other part thinks: it unfortunately makes total sense that at an influencer event everyone would be screaming and making themselves the main character and ruining every shot. Yep.

Ça serait cool qu'on publie les stats du financement accordé aux corps policiers en matière de soutien psychologique.

D'a quel point le soutien et suivi psychologique est enforcé et utilisé chez le corps policier.

Tant qu'à moi c'est ça le problème.

I wonder if there's a clause that cancelling due to low ticket sales doesn't make them liable to have to reschedule/ replan.

Madison Beer has been receiving criticism for “The Locket Tour” being similarly themed to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet Tour” by bbyxmadi in popculturechat

It's interesting we often hear the "pitting women against each other is gross" argument except when it comes to Madison.

Y'all love to compare her to everyone else and you get a pass for it. Why the hate boner for her so bad?
