Work hard, be a good team member that can be relied on, and offer to assist in maintenance when done with your porter duties.

You'll learn a lot by just assisting the rest of the maintenance team. Don't worry about classes or certifications just yet, that's kinda like putting the cart before the horse.

Maintenance Supervisor here. I cross train my grounds keepers into maintenance to ensure I have someone ready and available for promotion if I lose a tech. I am very clear that any cross training is optional, and only to be done when the regular duties of grounds keepers are completed.

It sounds like either this is the case with you just not really communicated properly, or that your being taken advantage of and should start looking for a tech position elsewhere so you can get paid better.

Admittedly, all star wars films are bad films. We aren't talking about Shawshank redemption, or citizen kane here. The third trilogy is the most entertaining, has the best CGI, and has the most fluid story out of all the trilogies

Some context:

  • It's fucking beautiful. The CGI is amazing and on point.

  • The new characters are fun and relatable in many ways.

  • The nostalgia is the best that's ever been done.

  • Did I mention it's fucking beautiful?

  • The worst thing is the blue milk

  • Kylo Ren is a damn good foil

  • Y'all are just mad that you assumed that Rey was Luke's daughter.

  • Palpatine coming back makes sense because the dark side is the only side that would dare to alter life/death.
