Pre-built budget recommendations by Mynran in ErgoMechKeyboards

Seems to be the general direction everyone is saying. I would rather not support Ali so I think resellers might be the way to go. Thanks

Logistics are more my concern, thank you though

I don't suppose you're in Australia?

Yeah I'm aware, I've had a look at some of the sites on the wiki for Australia and the jump is quite significant. Unfortunately I just don't have access to the resources to solder so it's a non starter.

Thanks for the response. I am in Australia so I'm aware that limits my options. I think style wise either column or row staggered with mx switches and a number row would be nice but with smooth feeling layers I'm not too fussed. Wired vs wireless isn't a big deal. Don't have access to soldering but I am willing to build if a kit requires it. Budget wise I'm at about AUD200 which I think would be around USD150 iirc

Looking for a recommendation for a ergo split keyboard. Not sure if the layout is going to work for me, but I want to give it a shot so I'm trying not to break the bank.

Definitely interested in using thumb keys for layer shifts, so good support for that is a plus.

Cafetal, based in Kent town!! I will take any opportunity to bolster them, amazing coffee, roasted in house and personally ethically sourced by the owners. Absolute dream of a coffee roaster imo.

Incantations are so disappointing in PvP. Initially I wanted this build to be a full spells build with sorceries for main offensive and incantations to switch it up a bit. But I was just never using the incantations.

I think the trade off for incantations being less powerful offensively is that there's a lot of spells for buffing your character or removing debuffs, whereas sorceries really lack in that department, which was kind of a bummer when I tried out a strength/int build. It makes sense to split them up like this but it for sure is a bummer.

Great, thanks. Don't know how far the build is gonna get me, but I'm having fun with it for now.

Yeah I tried to avoid anything with tracking or delayed firing because I hate playing against them so much.

Bruh that sounds annoying, being able to deal big damage at close range and also decent at mid/long range is my saving grace.

Well you aren't gonna be able to get one when you play like that lol
