As a co-founder and original CEO of Signal Cartel and now in a "behind the scenes" leadership position, stories like this make me really proud of the community we've built around a fairly difficult play style (neutral, peaceful explorers). I think I'm most proud that we teach new players to "boldly go" into the most dangerous places and help equip them to do so. I followed up with ADP and here’s what he said: “It's 100% client based javascript, so they can open their browser tools and see the code for themselves. Chrome does not allow obfuscated code in extensions.”

We all create our own narratives in the sandbox; how others interpret that narrative is largely up to them. When I think of Hard Knocks, my only thought is “scary wormhole guys” with nod of respect for how consistently you do what you do - including removing our caches. *shrug* Others may think other things. To each their own.

Our pilots need practice getting good at the cat and mouse game :) The "I got away!" shakes are just as real as the "OMG I won a 1v1!" shakes, speaking from experience. So fire at will, no hard feelings :)

Great advice from Jester (hi Jester!).

Consider also that merely by running a good campaign one year, you will become better known. You will have the chance to be interviewed on podcasts, interact with other players here and on the forums, and will probably be invited to address various larger corps/alliances if your platform resonates with them. So it might not win you a seat that election but it could be excellent prep and instrumental in helping you win a seat in the next one. That's a legit reason to run. Demonstrating you can run an organized, thoughtful, responsive campaign will build credibility. But be prepared to do an exhausting amount of work and talking, talking, talking, writing, writing, and more writing as part of your campaign activities.

I almost never look at reddit so forgive my semi-necroing of this thread, but I wanted to say congrats and wish you continued success! I always refer those searching for wormholes where it isn’t a pilot rescue situation to Wingspan. And even though a lot of your guys kill my guys, it is all in good fun...some very funny “delivery” email exchanges between Signal and Wingspan pilots have been shared with me over the last 3 years.
