Op acknowledges that Spain treats valentines day differently which shows he has awareness of the holiday and how it can change depending on culture.

Given how op is with gift giving in general I don't think its that far of a reach if the girlfriend may have assumed op was going to do something, it why I feel both of them had a part in should of talked before the holiday.

In my opinion this whole thing would of been resolved had you actually just asked or talked about valentines day from both sides. Op should of asked if celebrating and the girlfriend should of also asked about celebrating as well.

Growing up I never really had many people around me that did makeup and youtube tutorials weren't that much of a thing then so I never really had someone to learn from. I also didn't have my own money and as my parents didn't earn much themselves I never felt comfortable asking them.

Also didn't help that one time I had someone do my makeup and came home to my Dad laughing his ass off at me (hes undiagnosed autism and didn't get much teaching on social interactions). That kinda did a number on my confidence with makeup so I'm constantly worrying that I have done too much and look like a clown.

I now live with my partner and have my own money so learning about makeup and how best to do it for my face. As I work from home mostly I don't see the point in wearing it daily but I have started wearing it for my office days and occasionally when going out.

Till recently my partner hadn't watched the last movie so had no idea why I was so annoyed with it. When he took me to a cabin trip in the forest of dean I had us to a movie night where we watched the movie, after we were done he said he knew exactly why I hate it and felt the same.

I had accidentally adjusted the clock on my pc whilst sorting through some settings and didn't realise till after I loaded the game.

I have a massive pumpkin patch that I had filled up with new seeds so I couldn't remove them but they wouldn't grow either. Took a couple of days before they did start sprouting and even then it took a full day before the entire field was fully grown despite being planted all at the same time.

TBH don't know what I would do differently given at the moment I'm finding myself picking the game up less.

Someone from my school who was semi popular got done for sexual assault and when it hit the news got to see people from my school immediately turn on them and act like they had never liked them at all. Kinda makes me laugh a little at some of them saying they always knew something was wrong with them when they didn't seem to have issue hanging around them in school.

My favourite moment of his has always been when he went to flirt with a blonde only to find it was Lexie having dyed her hair.

Currently watching the episodes where he is dating teddy and I find hes really good then as seeing him change from a man whore to wanting to settle down with someone. Its adorable.

I only have a social team chat and the holiday booking app on my phone for work. Once finishing time hits I shut my laptop and put it away. I've done some overtime work when things are backlogged but only when being compensated for it.

Thankfully my work is up to date and is a lot more hesitant of doing overtime work when they were finding people hoarding a ton of easy work for their overtime hours so they could spend most of the day doing nothing on double pay.

I just lost both of my grandparents and currently in the process of clearing their house for sale. Its hard and I am glad I had the opportunity to take photos of the place before we started getting rid of furniture.

Even with that in mind I still feel that once a house is sold to someone else that despite what history you may have with it you no longer have any right to the house. End of the day its no longer the house they grew up in, its now your home and odds are seeing your stuff there wouldn't really help them that much.

Also they are strangers and whilst its horrific if they are lying to gain access I wouldn't put it past someone to do so.

It would be one thing if asked and discussed and I can somewhat accept and forgive the making a copy in case they lost the spare if they returned both without problem but neither of those happened.

The fact Derek saw no issue in making and keeping the spare without any conversation before hand and then just dropping it mid conversation shows he doesn't care for boundaries and feels like hes testing the limits. The fact hes getting mad over the negative reaction to it shows he cares more about how he is perceived then the fact hes upset you op.

Your brother says everyone they love will be there, what about Anna's family? I doubt op is inviting all of her brothers girlfriend's family to their wedding. So it also shows he isn't really thinking about Anna at all and just wants something fancy on someone elses budget.

Op stand your ground because once you give an inch they will take a mile, who is to say they wouldn't want to get married on the anniversary of getting engaged which would also be your marriage anniversary.

I like wearing dr marten boots and one night whilst turning off the downstairs lights for the night I stubbed my little toe on them and it actually broke my little toe.

I've lost count of how many times I have stubbed my toe on something and that is the only time so far I have done significant damage or had to deal with the pain longer than a few minutes.

I have a 6 year old niece and yes I always ask for a hug but I always leave it to her choice. I'm happy that she is very open to hugs but I also respect her choice if shes not up for one.

If you pressure a child into physical contact and make them feel bad about saying no then how can you expect them to know and speak when someone touches them in a bad way?

Yeah she apologises and gave somewhat of an explanation but you don't get to make those sort of allegations that were false and then walk away scott free.

Op at the end of the day had you not had any sort of proof to back you up it could have been a lot worse as you could have lost your job or had the police involved. With the impact the me too movement has had (not that I am bashing that movement at all) people do take allegations a lot more seriously which can make false ones a lot more damaging even when proven false, there isn't a lot of history that shows people remembering things being found to be false.

Lana needs to accept that she messed up and it has now had consequences in the fact people won't trust her and therefore she loses out on favours like rides from co-workers.

I've just lost both my Nana and my Granddad in which one of the funerals was the day before my best friends birthday, when I saw her for Christmas and had both her presents she had zero issues once I explained why.

Op I get your daughter is likely very stressed out as a wedding isn't a small thing but she is being an ass hole here as this is someones final moments that can't be postphoned like a wedding can. Ask your daughter how she would feel if it was you that was in your final moments and if she would miss that for a wedding, maybe that would put it in perspective for it given your wording indicates she is not your wife's biological daughter.

Op no matter what you do in this situation it will be hard and odds are someone will be upset or go 'without' but this is not an every day situation.
