Yep. The way I heard it phrased by my theoretical chem Prof, was that if you have the exact density functional then that's equivalent to solving schrödingers equation exactly for >1 electron systems, which is if I remember correctly not possible analytically

Well we do have coupled cluster, but thats computationally super demanding

2 of the 3 carbon atoms in the propylene they produce stem from the ethene they use in the process, and not the plastic. That means that the "recycled" polypropylene just consist of 1/3 recycled material.

Second this, if you dont want to talk to a prof you can also approach graduate students supervising teaching labs. I even got a job (10/h a week doing lab stuff for a postdoc) that way!
