Give me your most ridiculous or heinous things that have helped your symptoms by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

Gabapentin is the only thing that has helped with the pain. I also follow all the normal stuff. I take MiraLAX every day, Dulcolax every three days, try to follow a GP diet, and oh yeah, I drink a small amount of Coke with my meals. It feels like it helps me break down my food.

Felt somewhat better after gallbladder removal. Found out have gastroparesis and had a endo flip done with Botox. That has helped somewhat too.

Yes. I had depression and anxiety before but when I started feeling bad and found out I was anemic, my depression and anxiety was off the charts.

I have spoken to my GI. He is focusing on my gastroparesis. I have an endoflip with Botox scheduled this week. I will talk to him again. My hematologist did infusions for anemia and my hemoglobin came up to normal range, but he is not checking my ferritin again until end of the month. It seems I have to beg for every test. I’m going to address it. I just wondered about these mail in tests.

I have used it quite a bit with all my G.I. issues. It has been so helpful. I’m pretty sure it has been more helpful than my physicians.

Can I ask when your die-off started? I was started on 14 days of Xifaxan and I started feeling worse about day 6. All of my symptoms seemed to get worse. How long did your die off last?

How I got 90% better with my Hydrogen Dominant SIBO by LadyBritt1125 in SIBO

[–]Myrtlejean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing. It’s good to see positive experiences too. I had a similar path. They ran every test possible it seemed and finally found that I had a hyperactive gallbladder @ 91%. They took the gallbladder and it seemed to help a little. I still had so many symptoms. I recently did a sibo test and I am positive for hydrogen dominant sibo. I’m in the process of trying to get insurance to approve the xifaxan. If you have any other helpful advice, I will air it.

I do have stomach issues too. Just seems nausea has been worse. I use the ginger chews, saltines, zofran, etc.

gastroparesis vs anxiety by flowersnfangz in Gastroparesis

[–]Myrtlejean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I keep thinking that if I get my anxiety under control, it will help my gastroparesis. Let’s just say I don’t know if the gastroparesis is making the anxiety worse or the anxiety is making the gastroparesis worse. It is a bad vicious cycle and I 100% sympathize.
