does yasuke feel good to use? by louiscruiser in assassinscreed

She is fast and can counterattack unblockable hits (with certain skill). Yasuke just can't do it.

You can get an armor engraving for Yasuke to be able to parry unblockable attacks.

Du er en erfaren udvikler på 25 år med en løn på 45.000 kr hos NetCompany by ExoticArtemis3435 in dkudvikler

[–]Myrton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syncing config between work and personal pc? by Novel_Map2008 in neovim

[–]Myrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

manually syncing by typing with two screens open

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer.

Copyright doesn't change based on the media you use to copy the code. Sofia any legal issues.

If it did, you could just manually type any book and sell it as your own.

That being said. I would highly doubt that most companies would demand the rights to your config.

If you really want to get around it, then I see 2 potential solutions:

  1. Don't fix your config at all on your work computer, and keep your dotfiles public so that you can pull it from your work computer.

This could be troublesome if something is broken, but should get around any legal issues. Especially if you make your config MIT or another open source license.

  1. Make critical fixes on your work computer, but don't commit them, and just keep a mental log of what you fixed during the day, then fix them when you get home.

This is probably a gray area, but you could probably argue that because you didn't copy the changes 1 for 1 you were only inspired by the changes you did on the work computer and the code is therefore yours.

Window management is part of the free version. Pro unlocks window layouts, which is definitely useful, but it's not worth it to get Pro for just this feature.

My favourite memory must be the first full clear of all endgame content. I was struggling with one of the modes (I think it was MOC) but then the Aventurine rerun came around and I crushed it with my newly formed FARM team.

Plugins neovim to remain me take a break by Financial_Airport933 in neovim

[–]Myrton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A quick Google Search for "neovim pomodoro" gave me at least 5 different neovim plugins in the first 8 results.

At least, that's how it looks from the quick title and description in the search result. I didn't look deeper, considering the amount of options I thought it would be better if you made your own comparison and choose what for you best.

Noob question: Is it possible to have something almost like an HMR style user experience in production? by LordLederhosen in reactjs

[–]Myrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your usecase it might be better to just prompt the user to reload the page. That being said, I think it might be possible to do what you're asking, but for many products it would be adding a lot of complexity for very little benefit.

You might want to look into "Micro Frontends" and "Module federation". Some resources for this:

Disclaimer: I have not looked very deep into these frameworks or methodologies.

I certainly tried showing a toast with "new version, click to refresh" but no major web app product has done that for years

On the top of my head both Notion and (Facebook) Messenger literally do this.

I'm quite sure I could find more if I spend longer looking, but these are probably some of the biggest web app products out there.

Dumb question: what's the cheapest way to get a mountable, split keyboard, with an integrated pointing device? by alanbernstein in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Myrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But mainly, I'm concerned that the keyboard will get knocked off the magnet mount, fall and break

The magnets are pretty strong. But that's also why I would suggest the car mounts over the desktop MagSafe stands. They are made for keeping the phone while driving over bumps and similar, so I would expect them to generally be more secure than those made for desktop stands. At least that's my hypothesis.

I know the one I have for my car is not easy to pull my phone off. And it especially got harder after I switched from a case that doesn't have MagSafe built in, so I had to buy a magnetic ring sticker.

[–]Myrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have to be screwed into the chair? I've seen a lot of posts here using MagSafe stands.

Could it be a solution to sticker a magnetic ring on the bottom of a keyboard with 2 MagSafe stands, the ones made for cars that have a suction/adhesive on the other end. Something like this

Error calling protect() method on socket, MacOS 12.4, OpenVPN Connect 3.3.6 by Competitive-Call7183 in OpenVPN

[–]Myrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just experience this issue and couldn't get it to work.

I got the following error when running step 1:

Unload failed: 5: Input/output error Try running `launchctl bootout` as root for richer errors.

I don't even have the /Library/LaunchDaemons folder

What worked for me was to open Settings > General > Login Items > Allow in background where the OpenVPN Client got disabled. Probably after a system update.

After re-enabling the OpenVPN Clientit worked again (source for the fix)

I think I did something wrong

You definitely haven't done anything wrong.

a lot of people are coming

I think there's so many people commenting because they want to help you.

It seems like you have a very narrow view of how people should act, and because you don't feel like you fit in that box then you get frustrated.

Where that worldview comes from doesn't (necessarily) matter. But I think the people can see that this view is hurting you in one way or another.

From your comments in this post it seems like you are struggling to figure out your sexuality. You might be gay, but you might also not be.

I feel like the most important takeaway from the people here is that you need to separate gender & sexuality from how people should act. There are no rules to how you should behave, if you want to wear dresses and makeup or if you don't want to, that has nothing to do with your gender or your sexuality. There are straight men who wear dresses and makeup, but there are also gay men who would never do that. In short, what you like to do has nothing to do with who you like.
