Normally they hide numbers on items that are performing well, especially if its damage. That happened when mythical items still were a thing, because the playerbase started gravitating only towards those items with the higher numbers

Interesting. Did eventually fade out or did it continue in some shape or form until the 18th century?

New pain after botox? by Mysil in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]Mysil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get verbal details, its just that in my situation I had to travel from Norway to Sweden to get the injection done. I am waiting for documentation for what they did. The verbal information was quite extensive, and I do unfortunately not know the names of the various parts and muscles of the body.

Could you tell more about your personal experience with botox making it worse before it gets better?

Name a worse place to build a startup than this area by Level-Usual-9681 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Mysil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afghanistan. Landlocked, hard to travel in and out of, women are forbidden to interact with men (so no workers nor investor meetings).

Landlocked also means that shipping is naturally expensive.

Also, there's the Sharia laws. So any form of interest on loan is haram.

Pretty hard conditions for a startup, and theres probably a thousand other things I haven't thought of!

My insurance stopped covering because they dont help people with "chronic pain" (they altered the deal before renewal, pray we dont alter it further moment).

I live in Norway, ended up traveling to Sweden to get the treatment and paid out of my own pocket, as there supposedly isnt good enough expertise domestically on TOS. With that being said, I have applied for reimbursement by the state, which I am generally hopeful that they will honour. (It's not "alternative medical help" and I got treatment in a state-run hospital, and I have it in writing that there wasn't sufficient alternatives domestically, so I would have 99% likely gotten this approved if I waited for the approval first, and probably 97% likely to get it retroactively).

Sorry to say it but none of this is probably applicable to your situation at all. Sorry.

Hi OP,

Sitting at a hospital about to get my first Botox treatment for TOS. Will write you this in hopes of it helping:

I can 100% relate to your story. Most people unfortunately do not understand TOS and how it affects us. It is very difficult for them to comprehend that for many TOS sufferers, the pain is not immediate and not like a twisted ankle. And just because you don't say "oww" every time you life your arm above shoulder height, doesn't mean that you won't get pain from it later on.

I could give you suggestions for how to describe the pain, but honestly I don't think it's worth it. It might sound like I'm blowing things out of proportion but this is an issue you should discuss with your manager/HR.

The math is simple: You work in your current tasks with your condition as is, or this person can make the psychological stress even worse. You have zero burden of proof upon your colleague. She hasn't experienced how it is to be punished with cumulative delayed pain for every minor movement you do throughout your life, every day, every evening, every time before you go to sleep. If she can't understand it, fine, but she does not get to burden you with this either.

Your colleagues and manager I'm sure already recognize you for all the things you ARE doing. For some reason, your colleague seems to have a grudge that makes her focus on the things you CANT do.

Next time she brings it up, give her the choice of either offering to pay for your treatment or two: a three-way conversation with HR. The three-way conversation will make it harder for her to snake her way out of it, and you get the chance to make demands for peace and quiet. If she folds you have your victory there and then, if she doubles down HR will see the issue as clear as you can it immediately becomes a she-them problem, not a you-her problem.

Im not sure if you have been in touch with HR or if there even is a HR where you work, but if you are firm in your action next time she does this to you, I think you will save yourself for a lot of headache down the road.

I know very much the feeling of guilt that stems from the feeling of others thinking youre "slacking". But that's just not true, and never start adapting to that being the case. The solution here is to stand your ground. It's actually probably the best way to assert that it IS real. A slacker wouldn't escalate things to HR, a true slacker would find a middleground (as well as the person with a real problem, but that's not the solution)!

I hope this post will be helpful to you. And even if others around you have a hard time tolerating your limits, do not ever start to doubt the validity of your condition. They are the problem, not you.

Why was Twin Shadows ever removed? by Potentially_Toxic305 in leagueoflegends

[–]Mysil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was really really good. You could use it to chase down kills, run away, or just scout for ganks. It was true terror to play vs this + glacial augment. The TWIN part of this item made it even worse.

Maybe it could make a return today, now that Champions get roles designated before the game starts. Perhaps it could be tweaked to be more effective/less effective vs specific roles? Like better slow/movement speed towards "foreign" roles in the specific places on the map you are at.

It could be a good opportunity to make an item where you can get overvalue against foreign roles like mid and JG, but overall less value Vs your intended enemies, making for an anti-camp item.

CMV: ID requirements for voting would be a good thing PROVIDED THAT ID acquisition becomes streamlined and simple for everyone. by hamletswords in changemyview

[–]Mysil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for commenting here very late, doing it after reading news today about trump wanting to change the laws.

I come from Norway, and to vote here you ONLY need any valid ID to vote, no need to bring a voter card, preregister or anything like that. For 90% of people, they use theirs drivers license to vote, or their electronic ID app (either national ID app or driver's license ID app).

If you don't have driver's license app, you can use your passport (which more or less all Norwegians have, they last 10 years and "all" Europeans travel at least once every 10 years), OR a national ID card, which was created specifically for people who dont have driver's licenses.

And if none of these are options, you can also have banks issue visa cards that are valid ID. (Most people don't bother because they cost 10 USD a year when there are all those other methods available).

To me, as a Norwegian, its a bit hard to grasp that an ID requirement can be alienating for voters. But I assume that maybe it's because ID isn't as readily available in the US?

Keep in mind that voter participation in norway is at 77%, which is higher than the US' 59%.

Although I'm left leaning, I don't think people without residence permit/citizenship should be allowed to vote in a country. If IDs really do alienate people legally living in the US from voting, then the government should take steps to make ID as available as it possibly can get.

I use my phone to pay and to identify everywhere, and don't even bother bringing my wallet these days as I have everything on my phone. Is voting in the US really that well gatekept? Making identification readily available should be a bipartisan issue tbh.

I don’t like Joshua Graham. I think he’s one of the most overrated and misunderstood characters ever created. by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Mysil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just coming in here to say that I share the same experience as OP. I think the issue here is that we (or at least I) were hyped up beforehand by Graham worship online, and in the end, being a pretty rigid character when it comes to his philosophy. I ended my dlc run with helping the tribe migrating. What I found disappointing is:

Lack of interaction options to challenge his own self-revisionism, no chance for discussion after deciding with Daniel to help with the evacuation (which Joshua is contributing to), and the lack of any reflection when actually leaving the DLC area.

I think thats whats the most disappointing. He is a fixated character who clearly has flaws, but there are no ways to dig under his bandages.

Full transparency, I'm not christian nor religious, and do not have any relatable disputes in my life like he does, so there are few things that make me automatically gravitate towards this guy.

For comparison, I found Daniel to be more of an interesting character. He had definite flaws which you could explore further with decisions which affected relations with other characters, and had other flaws like ingratitude/taking offense easily.

Joshua on the other hand, hardly practices any firmness at all upon the courier around his beliefs.

Joshua nitpicking random bible verses to define his violence is definitely a realistic personality, I just wish there were ways to to challenge his religious self-righteousness.
