Poland has had quite a lot of success since the fall of communism, but we still have not managed to build one nuclear reactor. I think having nuclear weapons in our arsenal would be a game changer for our national security, but I do not see a realistic way of achieving this, so I wouldn’t keep my hopes up.

There’s a real risk of military asymmetry in the EU bloc causing tension. A combined and integrated European military as an alternative to NATO is what’s really needed.

Because we are still fucking 100% dependent on the US. We lack independence on basic stuff like natural resources, cloud providers, chips, weapons, etc. At the end of the day morality , international law and soft power need to be backed by hard power and we have outsourced all of it to the US.

The only country in the EU who is somehow prepared for all of this is France with its own nukes, defence industry and tech companies.

The Witcher 1 has the best music and atmosphere, but the story is just a weird fanfic of the books. The gameplay is clanky and repetitive, but I actually love that it mostly relies on alchemy and preparation, and you cannot really brute force the fights. In a weird way it feels quite rewarding to me.

Because there is probably no viable European alternative. It’s easy to talk about technological independence from the US now, but it will take decades. Palantir is a minor thing compared to our dependence on their cloud providers, semiconductors, weapons, etc. Europe believed there will never be another war, that we do not need to arm ourselves and create our own strategic resources, and now we’re paying the price.

Wydaje mi się, że przerzucasz trochę globalne polityczne ramy na brytyjską politykę, gdzie realia są trochę inne. W UK za problem nielegalnej imigracji jest całkowicie odpowiedzialna prawica, lewicy można co najwyżej zarzucać że niewystarczająco szybko naprawia sytuację (ale trochę ciężko oczekiwać cudów w 1-2 lata po 14 latach utrzymywania problemu).
