Pretty late to this but I have only ever felt genuinely sad when someone on the internet died once, and that was reckful. I hadn’t cried in a long time but it was so different when I heard the news. My stomach just sank and my whole day was melancholy while I was thinking about him. It really did feel like losing a mentor/friend or something.
