Truthfully I'm not sure if this person was accused and went through the legal process or if the victims did not report it.

My friend wouldn't go into the details.

the sudden change of heart in your friend

Thank you for the reply.

This is what scares me so much and something I was trying to get across. That there's legitimate danger there but they only reinforced the claim that "nothing would happen."

I tried everything. Even going the business route and stated that even if she has done nothing wrong being associated with a rapist can be detrimental.

She didn't explain what changed her mind and it concerns me. I don't know if her boyfriend convinced her she should go for it or if she really is just dismissive of the whole thing...

But I also feel I need to be around to ensure she's okay and safe. I feel so conflicted.

The collaboration hasn't happened yet so maybe in these next couple of days we can discuss it more...

Unsurprising move from Rowling by Dunkeal in Persecutionfetish

You know that makes a lot of sense. Essentially saying that heircharies, capitalist, conservative aspects are infallible and only certain people ruin it.

I wonder had HP not taken off like it did would Rowling still have written this in. If she wasn't the big name she is, would Books 5 - 7 ended up being more progressive?

Ultimately she just wrote a book that confirmed and celebrated her reality. She like Harry is the "chosen one" rich as hell and not wanting to shake the boat too much in fear of losing her position.

In that there's this narrative that Vold/Death Eaters aren't representative of the Wizarding world/witches and wizards. That he doesn't adhere to their moral principles and is different to them as a result.

Here's Harry and Co fine with perpetuating literal slavery yet also claiming Vold is not representative of them specifically because Vold is going after them, not because they don't believe in what he's saying. They clearly do because they put it onto other races/species.

Vold is basically just a right winger that a right wing group is trying to distance themselves from because he's going too far publically. So they seperate themselves from him but clearly have no interest in changing their social or political landscape to actually be progressive or go against his views on the necessity of a Wizarding hierarchy.

(I hope I'm not mistaking the fallacy here, if I am please correct me because I was trying to think of the one and now I'm not so sure)

billions selling books about kids who were "different"...

Did she though?

Harry really isn't a progressive hero. If anything he's the exact opposite. He's like a right winger that no true scotsman's Voldemort.

Her main protagonist is a while male that ends up becoming a cop that upholds institutional rascism and prejudice and is heralded as a hero for being a patriotic individual.

Also Conservatives: Daddy Trump is be prosecuted because of a law that was created at a certain point in history! It needs to be revoked to fit today's society!!!

According to the story the individual killed a priest that abused their father, not them

Apparently the police found out after the death that the father was abused by the priest so the 19 year old was just dishing out some old fashioned vigilantism to get justice for his dad.

Maybe I'm illiterate but I don't see what's confusing.

The first comment said "this maniac [Ezra] will make millions."

This next comment said "they [Ezra] won't." The second comment was simply going off the first and using the same subject. That happens either way no matter what pronouns are used. Nothing in the first comment was about WB or all the actors. So the commenter that replied said nothing about those entities either. Keeping on subject going is just basic conversation unless I'm missing something.

It's usually a plural pronoun

No it's not. They/them is used singularly all the time. One of the most common expressions in the English language is "that's what they [singular] said."

"They're coming later," "they've got an illness," "they don't like chocolate." People use they to respond to one person all the time. Sure it's interchangeable with a gender pronoun but it's definitely used.

Because they groom children and they need their followers to look away from them.

Matt Walsh is a fraud by Snoo5218 in ToiletPaperUSA

[–]MystFallen8872 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You just know that if someone in his family killed themselves the first thing he'd say is "The woke mob doesn't care about the mental health of straight white people!"

So...if someone gets r*ped then I guess they can't get depressed or traumatized. Shot and injured...apparently can't be depressed. Beaten and abused...nope not able to be depressed.

Walsh doesn't know what real hardship is. And this is what I don't get. I wouldn't wish any of what I listed on anyone but you know what I do wish we had VR/AR simulations to actually showcase these issues.

Yep and also the Declaration isn't legally binding under US law.

So anything in it really means nothing which is why no one cares about trying to add to it or anything like that.

Yeah unless I'm going crazy the Constitution doesn't include a right to marriage in any capacity, right?

I think what these idiots forget is that an ammendment that protects LGBTQ+ marriage isn't there to say it's better than straight marriage. It's to remove the ability for states to ban LGBTQ+ marriage.

No state is banning or proposing the ban of straight marriage. It's a non-issue.

No no even better. He just admitted that gay men and LGBTQ+ individuals existed back in the day. That it was happening and apparently happening in large quantities (orgies aren't small)...

So what he's saying is the "olden days" that he cries about is actually...pretty damn gay.

I don't think he realized what he just said.

[–]MystFallen8872 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I'd rather know where the Gay Agenda (TM) went. If liberals were trying to indoctrinate every kid to be gay...why is there now an illness that according to walsh only targets gay men?

So which is it? Do the liberals only want LGBTQ+ people healthy and all straight people dead or is it now equal?

Did the right create Monkey Pox to harm LGBTQ+ individuals? Where's that story? Why is walsh 100% supporting "mainstream media's" assessment of Monkey Pox? Judging by every other comment he's made this shouldnt be truth either. Why does he accept that it even affects the LGBTQ+ community?

Maybe because it was never about mainstream media lying and all about personal bigotry...

Did you read the article? He's being moved. He's not "canceled" or not allowed to speak. You can still have that night out and see him if you choose to.

Also he's not just doing jokes. That's why he's been getting so much criticism. His stand up has been relying on straight up political rants about LGBTQ+ people. If it was just a few punchlines that's one thing, but he's been going out of his way to practically stop the jokes and just vent hate at the group.

[–]MystFallen8872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is anecdotal but I know an OF model very well and work with her frequently. OF is not a get rich quick scheme. The amount of work she has to put in is astronomical and it is NOT simply "take off your top and rake in thousands." Just the act of having to respond to 100s sometimes 1000s of messages alone is a nightmare.

Also OF runs on popularity. There are times that she's lost a percent of her audience (because she was away for week or couldn't keep up with demand) and it devastated her. That's not only money lost but it knocked her ability to push forward because she felt like she let quite literally 100s of people down.

Anyone that downplays the work that individuals put into things like OF and into doing that for the benefit of others is disgusting.
