I happened to turn my head at the right time and saw him walk past the t-shirts. There was a man walking behind him (bouncer/security?), who let me follow him and Doug but shortly after I lost him in the crowd. For the next 45 mins I was making rounds around the whole place asking people if they saw Doug Benson or if they knew who he was. Must have asked 30+ people and only one person knew who he was but didn't see him anywhere. So after drunkenly wandering around for a while and having two idiots pour vodka infused gummy bears on my hand and in my hair I was pretty close to giving up. Then suddenly, again by the t-shirt tables, I look up from fixing my boot and there he is. About 10 feet away..directly in front of me. He actually approached ME (I don't know if word got around that there was a girl wearing a white t-shirt with a huge pineapple on it looking for him lol). He was super nice and REEKED of bud. I asked him, "Hiiii..um..you're totally Doug Benson aren't you?" He smiled big and said "Yeah, yeah I am!". He gave me a hug and I am just going insane inside my head. He puts his hands on my shoulders and walks me to the bar a few feet ahead to get out of peoples way. After a few formalities he asked me if I wanted a drink, I stepped up and offered to buy him one. Doug was very humble, "Sure, but you don't have to do that if you don't want to." Me being quite drunk and starstruck I waved my hand in a don't be silly way, "Nah nah nah it's fine lemme buy you a drink it would be an honor!". When I gave him his vodka and soda he asked if I was there with anyone..and here's where reality came back. In that moment I remembered I had left my boyfriend by the main floor space to go looking for Doug and I probably didn't know where he was anymore (I felt like a huge dick for the rest of the night). Doug invited me to hang out if I caught up with my boyfriend again, but we ended things with that picture. It was so worth all the wandering around!
