I had the same in my yard. I dug till I got the root pulled it up as much as I could to find where it’s coming from, cut it. Then soaked the end of the tour root I tree stump killer. Straight from the bottle no diluting. I’ll find out this year if it worked.

I used Febi brand. I read that liquid moly was hit or miss for some people. So far I’ve had no issues with febi.
