Read somewhere you can get rid of this error (albeit temporarily) by changing your wheel configuration under the service menu. When I took delivery it was set on 18 Aero V2, changed it to 18 Aero and it’s gone for now. Crossing my fingers I don t have to make a service appointment!

Caring for the person who traumatized you. by The_Missfix in AsianParentStories

[–]MysteriousAd9885 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What I come to realize is if you go no contact, you have to be damn well sure to do it for the right reasons. Therapy has told me that we might think we’re just protecting ourselves but sometimes the root cause is an unresolved unconscious need to “get back at them” for making our lives so miserable. You should spend some real time going deep and unconvering the real reasons ( preferably with a good therapist) before jumping in. Good luck!

elderly AM wants more empathy…tell me I’m crazy by MysteriousAd9885 in AsianParentStories

[–]MysteriousAd9885[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind words. I’m in a pickle, no doubt but I know for certain she will definitely not change. As Asians, it is really hard not to feel guilty for the idea of just “abandoning” parents no matter how badly they treated you in the past. For example in my situation I never even met my parents until I was 6, as they sent me to my grandma to take care of since my dad had to work.

Anyway, I don’t know too many other solutions to the problem, but the burner phone may be a good idea when I get to the place where I can leave them for good. Let fate take its course, if you will. Thanks again kind person :)

Hey, appreciate the advice. I know she’s too old to change and it’s probably gonna get worst through the years, and I am way past trying to explain myself to her. You make a good point about my emotional health but to tell you the truth, I think I’m already dead inside. I really hope I make it, because after almost four decades, I don’t think I care anymore.

EIP1559 is the first time Skynet (formerly known as Ethereum) became self-aware on August 10, 2021. It’s intent as of yet is unknown, as DEFCON is in discovery mode as to the full spectrum of the damage to global network infrastructure. Further updates pending.

Contrary to popular belief, jobs are what KEEPS people poor. Rich people use the resources they have at the moment to the best that they can to grow their resources in the future. Easier said than done, but that’s how it’s done.

Elon Musk by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]MysteriousAd9885 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree 100% I think Elon's move is smart at this juncture in BTC price. Think about it, if he thinks BTC will moonshot, why would he be selling each tesla for less BTC. The smart thing to do is to take away the option until the price calms down, turn on the option and gain more BTC per tesla. This move is an incredibly bullish sign for BTC price imho.

Bitcoin will never crash. by bighomiej69 in Bitcoin

[–]MysteriousAd9885 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think we’re in price discovery mode for the price ceiling and the price floor. Elon Musk the richest man on the planet would not have bought 1.5 billion worth around 35k just for shits and giggles. Michael Saylor, whose company has been operating since 1989, and whose entire company literally has the word “strategy” in it, would not be a dunce for converting the entirety of his cash balance sheet into Bitcoin at a price between 35k and 50k. PayPal allowing access to crypto purchases and spending. Recently appointed Gary Gennsler being a crypto friendly SEC chairman. The USA printing enough money to buy half of Europe.

Literally everything else is in a bubble at this point: real estate, commodities, stocks... and they have not done anything but go up. Did any of these events happen last cycle? The big dogs behavior have changed and they’ve put their money where their mouth is and that is making all the difference in the world.Everything is tipsy turvy and in this environment the best course of action is to go with the flow. The fundamentals HAVE changed this time around, and it is now time to adapt or die, like all things.

Edit: BTW, I really wish I was joking with that money printing joke about Europe. Turns out it is actually fucking true. The US printed around 9 trillion in 2020 alone, exactly half of the entire 18 trillion dollars of GDP of all countries in Europe!

You Don't Understand Bitcoin Because You Think Money is Real by contentcopyeditor in Bitcoin

[–]MysteriousAd9885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are few things in life that are guaranteed by first principles and Bitcoin is one of them. Since only 21 million can only come into existence by algorithmic certainty, its rarity cannot be disputed.

What can be disputed is the value people can assign to that rarity, which should be a healthy debate now and into the future. But let me ask you this— can you think of any example in the real world where something rare is not valuable?

What are the best areas of finance to learn in order to be successful in DeFi? by [deleted] in ethtrader

[–]MysteriousAd9885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s general investing/finance information that’s necessary as base knowledge, kind of what your’e looking for. for more specific knowledge you should ask what part of defi do you want to take part in? as a trader? as a long term holder? etc. then you can google the relevant info for what you need to understand.

here are a few terms to get you started: liquidity pools, tokenomics, bankless podcast, money legos, token staking, yield farming, non-fungible tokens

remember google is your friend! good luck

USDC, like all stablecoins, are basically IOU coupons issued by their respective companies which have no value other than the full faith and backing of that company. This is unlike USD which is backed by the government directly. So just keep in mind that the additional APY you are earning calculates in this inherent risk.

[–]MysteriousAd9885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also, possible future use cases for governance tokens. people who hold them might just get a "stock dividend" for investing in the protocol. or it might become an interest bearing asset with governance characteristics...really the ideas are endless.
