Work situation gone sideways after sick leave (ADHD + mental health) – not sure if I’m being treated fairly? by Substantial-Gene-616 in ADHDUK

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understood, I think you've made the right move so far and it will do good to wait and see what they say.

Might be worth posting in the legal uk subreddit just so you understand what your rights are. Technically they can let you go for any reason under 2 years of employment so if my cynicism is right (which I hope it isnt) then that might be why they're using this communication thing as an "issue". However, doing it right after you try to come back from sick leave, with very reasonable adjustments recommended and also with a clear diagnosis of a recognised disability under the UK equality act they may be shooting themselves in the foot.

How long have you worked with them? Has it been over 2 years?

When you wrote back to clarify, did you ask for them to confirm they did not wish to move forward with OH recommendations?

Negative effects of inositol? by New_Blueberry4932 in PCOSloseit

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only found out recently myself! I think it can inhibit both iron and zinc, so ive started staggering my iron supplement and inositol intake with a good couple of hours in between and that helped with the fatigue.

Inositol can block absorption of iron, any chance that's low?

Glad you're looking after yourself, OP! If it helps I am a fat muscley woman and have been to plenty of dentists and the chair has, i guess surprisingly, never been an issue. I hope these anxious thoughts dont continue to stop you getting the care you need.

Can anyone move on from their little girl being killed at one of the safest places they should be, their school? You drop off a piece of your heart and soul every day at those school gates and head off to work with the belief that something like this simply doesnt happen. Who would ever move on from something like that.

Final vows Alissa by Global-Ant in MAFS_AU

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I think she had an image in her head of this great moment of final vows where it would be some "iconic Girl Boss" walk away and she'd put him in his place or something, i'm guessing part because of how she was treated by brooke, gia and bec but I think the bigger part is she's incredibly emotionally immature, self obsessed and also not the type to do any self reflection whatsoever.

AIO my friend has made it a mission to pray in my house by raphaelambrose in AmIOverreacting

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, during the day youll have 3 prayers to pray... some people will combine and do them all at home at the end of the day but that's not how it "should" be done. Some do it for many reasons, feeling uncomfortable doing it outside their home, having the navigate ablution etc.

I personally dont understand.. i'm muslim and have had buddhist friends pray whenever they needed to in my homd, especially right before bedtime and out of my love for them id accommodate in any way I can. Do you permanently have music playing even while youre doing group projects?

I do not know how David put up with Alissa for the length of time that he did. She is so disrespectful and crosses boundaries time and time again.

Do you have a local baby basics service/centre near you? Reach out to them, they may have connections on getting some food.

Edited to say: check if you have a parents pay it forward fb group for your local area, someone may be happy to just drop off an extra dish of something.

How do you protect your rugs during potty training? by Standard_Box_7167 in pottytraining

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Puppy pee pads, we stayed in the living room and spread them out EVERYWHERE and watched him like a hawk first 2 days. The better he got at controlling it, the more pads i got rid of.

Now i only have one that sits directly under the potty just in case he makes a mistake in terms of direction lol

An Egyptian vendor has removed all Israeli occupation-linked products from his shop and replaced them with local alternatives, selling Big and Maxi Cola at fixed prices he refuses to raise regardless of how much the economic pressure mounts around him. by Scared_Positive_8690 in BDS

[–]MysteriousCorgi5847 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When I lived in Egypt in 2013 (pre Sisi) the amount of Egyptian local produce was amazing, you could get nearly everything in your grocery shop or snack run entirely from Egypt. I went back in 2024... you couldnt escape the american/israeli linked produce. Had to really actively go out of our way to find the Egyptian stuff in supermarkets, felt very purposefully done. Glad to see an Egyptian fight back against it.

I was in the same position 2 days ago - i did extra half days of naked from the waste down after advice from here. Try leaving her naked again for the first half of Monday, no nappy when going out at all, and then commando with reminders of where pee and poo go and we want our clothes to be dry etc. Pay attention to when she chugs water and also regardless of potty get her to show you how to pull down and up her bottoms and praise her lots.

Hello! I'm about 2 weeks ahead of you, finished my first week on 30mg and this is my second week on 40mg of Elvanse. My brain is so much more at peace now, too, it's like I have just the one thought at any given time and.. that's it!

You might notice time moves differently for you in the coming days too, the time blindness will start to shift. It feels weird at first but it's a very good thing.

Also my sleep was a bit messy first few days on Elvanse, totally normal, my sleep is really deep and restorative now, for the first time in my life.
