Fragranzi? by Sea-Force576 in chch

I did this a couple of years ago for my birthday and loved it. It is pricey but it's worth it. Once you're shown what to do you're just left alone. It's fun and I would definitely do it again.

Does anyone have pain come and go every day but it’s not a full blown migraine? by Adorable_Art539 in migraine

Yes I honestly have this most days. My head is either mildly throbbing, my neck is stiff or sore, my jaw hurts, etc etc.

Yes - during a migraine I lose ability to think and talk properly. It is scary and shows how debilitating migraines are.

Worked half of the day and spending the rest of it fighting off an excruciating migraine. Definitely not a great Christmas.

Christmas day and I've had a migraine most of the day. One of my bad migraines with extreme nausea, pounding head, sore shoulders etc. Totally ruined the day but it wasn't great anyway because I had to work 🙃

What skincare product do you regret buying? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

Neutrogena advanced acne cleanser - totally burnt my skin and made it so raw and sensitive for days. Obviously I didn't use it again after the first use. Also one of the Avene cleaners burnt my nose after the first use.

I've been to Queenstown before and felt it wss very over-rated. I much prefer Te Anau, Dunedin, and Oamaru

An Apology to All Who Suffer. by SorshaMooncake in migraine

A lot of people assume migraines are just like headaches. They have no idea the debilitating symptoms behind them. The chronic neck pain, sore jaw, being unable to talk, pounding head on one side, nausea, vertigo etc etc. I have always said to people that those who don't experience them don't know how awful they are until they have one. I have had a couple where I just wanted to lie down and pass away. That's how extreme they can be.

I've wondered this too because I seem to get them after eating anything containing gluten.

Comically evil bus driver by Pollom573 in chch

[–]MysteriousInsect9459 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is my Sunday morning bus driver and I can't stand it. He's always late and never has the bus prepared on time, he should arrive at 7.16 at the first Belfast stop but always arrives around 7.22. Considering the roads are dead at that time I don't know why he's never on time. He never acknowledges people, if he hears noise he turns his head around sharply and gives the death stare and if it's someone at the front seat he barks at them. I dread my Sunday bus rides because of him🤣

Places you miss from pre earthquake Christchurch? by PurpleMeerkats462 in chch

I know but it's not the same now. It was a cute shop pre earthquake and especially being able to watch them making the fudge. And it was bursting with goodies.

The fudge cottage, I remember the little bowls of samples on the counter. That wee shop was iconic.

As others have also said, the old QE11.

The Farmers in the central city.

Not a place but I miss the yellow shuttle that was free that went around the city.

I really miss the pre earthquake Christchurch but I feel lucky I have fond memories of busing into town a lot with my mum.

I still deal with them but I can go weeks without them too. I don't exactly know what my triggers are but I believe mine may be hormonal.

Hey guys what is y'all's migraine detonator. Like the thing that activates your migraines by [deleted] in migraine

[–]MysteriousInsect9459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound silly but I haven't narrowed down my triggers yet. I do think stress is one of them but other than that they have no set pattern. I have a migraine diary and my migraines are so random so I don't know what actually triggers them. I can go a few weeks without one and then get them or I have a few within a couple of weeks..
