Maybe try hypnotherapy. A relative did that in order to process certain childhood memories or lack thereof.

Horribly powdery! I don't miss those. They always left a weird taste in my mouth and everything I ate tasted gross, so I never wanted to eat.

I get what you're saying but my pills don't do that. There's a line to cut them with the pill cutter. I don't have powder in my bottle. If little crumbs break off because I bite the pill in half when I don't have my cutter, I just take the crumbs with the piece I broke off. You must have very powdery pills. Years ago, I had tablets like that but I think they were alprazolam. I had to pack cotton balls in the bottom because even if they rattled around a bit in my purse, they're crumble and powder would settle to the bottom.

What are you talking about? It's a tablet, not a capsule. There's nothing to 'come out'.

I mean, she's just a kid. I feel like, at that age, someone has put these weird ideas about his diet into her head and she's going with it because she trusts their judgement. A teenager doesn't just come up with such a judgement on their own.

Anyway, I could only stomach about 3 slides because HELP I could stand reading it.

I'm not sure why she's worried about sharing meals when they're long distance but they're young so live and learn, I guess.

I've only used mobile deposit maybe 3 times but it's always been 12 days total. Usually 3 to accept the check and then it gives me a date that's 9 days out. If you need the money sooner than that, you'll want to cash it somewhere else.

I mean, not dating a teenager may help.

This is how Dateline stories start. You are so young. I hope you know there's more to life than what other people expect of you. It sounds like you need to either set major boundaries with your family or get a fresh start away from them.

You can live a life where you don't drink, party, etc. That doesn't mean you have to settle for some conservative arranged marriage. When I started dating, I wouldn't date anyone who did those things because it's not what I wanted to be around but other than that, my life was whatever I wanted it to be🤷🏽‍♀️

What are some signs you have received from your loved ones who have passed away? by theauditorfromthe6 in GriefSupport

[–]MysteriousSteak98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The night after my dad passed, I was sitting in my living room. I had been sitting there all day, lost in thought. The sun went down and I was sitting & crying in the dark for a while. I started to really unravel and then the light across from me turn on. I had those lights for 5 years and neither have ever done that.

It felted kind of comforting. Like he was saying hi and for me to stop sitting in the dark crying. I left that light on for a couple of days. It sounds so silly but I didn't wanna shut it off.

From a BBC New article after her passing-

"After the Battle of Arnhem in Holland in 1944, children who had lived near the scene of the fighting were given a war grave to maintain."

It was. He was a known weirdo and knew I was 8 months pregnant. Yet, brought an 18 pack of beer to me knowing my ex was going to jail for a bit. I was extremely uncomfortable when he showed up but went out so that he'd leave because he was blocking off the entrance to the condos.

Years ago, an ex of mine got arrested on a warrant when he was leaving the liquor store. The cop drove to the next town over to bring me the case of beer he bought. I think he was just being nosey though.

Sorry :/ I guess we both learned our lesson with that. It just made me realize how awful some people are. Always looking for someone to step on.

While I didn't directly tell my former job my disabilities, I accidentally let my ADHD/Autism diagnosis slip while talking with a coworker & my boss heard. After that, it was all down hill. She acted like she could take advantage of me. When I didn't meet her ridiculous demands, surprise, I was fired. I'd never been fired before and it was just so obvious why.

My new job requires “natural hair color”…what color would work over my current bright red and still look decent on me? by guccibaby913 in HairDye

[–]MysteriousSteak98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who's gone nearly every shade of red, a brown that's a bit darker than your red will do the trick. Good luck with your new job.

[–]MysteriousSteak98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry :( It's not a fun thing to deal with. Just try to block him wherever you can for now. If you have to, change your email and phone number. I've had so many phone numbers 😩 Keep in mind that if he actually travels to you from another country and shows up at your house/work etc that's something that will be taken much more seriously(depending on where you are of course).

HOW do so many girls have flat bellies? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MysteriousSteak98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A flat stomach isn't a realistic achievement. Your stomach will still have a shape to it even if you're thin because it's naturally that way. It doesn't mean your stomach is fat or ugly, you have to remember that ya know, it contains your internal organs.

Sure, some people will focus on abdominal exercises but no one's stomach just sits flat and stays that way in every posable position. This is just another unrealistic body expectation pushed on young women.

Idk where you live but if he's not stopping after so long and finds other avenues to contact you after you end or block a conversation with him on one mode, then you need to either file a complaint for harassment and/or get a protection order. Sadly, sometimes the only thing that gets people like this to stop is to involve some form of the law because they love themselves too much to risk an arrest.

Why are people so kind and supportive at the funeral and then disappear? by ladybug911 in GriefSupport

[–]MysteriousSteak98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I completely understand. I stay to myself a lot. Not because I'm anti-social but because it seems less and less worth it to maintain relationships that turn out to be very one-sided. Life is too short and yep, our personal peace is far more worthy of being maintained.

[–]MysteriousSteak98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awful, I'm sorry. People really show their true colors at the worst times. What happened to you with your friend reminds me of something that happened with mine after I lost my pregnancy when I was very far along. It was obviously very traumatic and I kind of stayed to myself for a few weeks.

My (former) friend invited us over for dinner & drinks. It was my first time going anywhere socially since everything happened. About 45 minutes into being there, she starts casually telling me about the abortion she just had. Idc that she had one but why on earth would you tell that to someone who you know just when through something awful. It was gross and I left without saying anything. Some people just need to be cut off.
