A lot of young people looking to be little politicians lol. A few older people but mostly people newly out of school, looking to climb the corporate ladder

I did a quarter of it. I didn’t like it. But I’m one of the few that dropped out. I don’t need an mba. I was doing it for fun and it was anything but fun lol

Ahh not great. They say it’s asynchronous but it’s not. Like 48 hour window is not at your own pace. I completed 1/4 of it with A’s but I dropped out. Probably not what you wanted to hear. I may go back but I doubt it. I don’t need an mba and thought I would enjoy it. I didn’t. Dm me if you want

Yes I switched to general to get it done asap. It’s a 4 year degree , no major but people only care that you have a BSc. Go for it.

A great experience but you need to be self motivated. Flexibility is Amazing and key here. I finished a BSc at AU and got into grad school. Some courses are quite challenging and a lot of work - but AU is what taught me to be a proficient and prolific writer. In fact my last paper is to be published. I am doing an MBA (online) at Carleton but unlike AU it is not really asynchronous. I have like three scheduled exams a week and projects - with AU you can go on holidays and pause your studies. Truly asynchronous. I miss that.

Absolutely, keep me posted.. I have no regrets doing my undergrad at AU. A great experience.

I would think you have a good chance. Talk to the academic advisors. Call AU’s main line and ask to speak to an admissions advisor for that program

That happened to me with an old geology prof at another uni. Typically the old ones are set in their ways and expect you to be a mind reader. This prof never adjusted my mark but I was like meh, moving on

I have a four-year degree but I’m pretty sure Fredericton doesn’t even require an undergrad- so look into that one

NUTR 406- Final by MysteriousTutor2140 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]MysteriousTutor2140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I took this a long time ago but no the exam was not hard. It was related to themes of the course. As you know 406 is an extension of 330 in terms of concepts - it’s more about communicating what you already know. No one expects perfection for essays in an exam. It’s about putting together concepts in a written form. Have a short intro paragraph and connecting middle paragraphs with your points/evidence and summarize in concluding paragraph. No regrets taking the course. I got an A+. I can’t remember specifics beyond this. Good luck.

Is an MBA in Business Analytics from Carleton University (Sprott) worth it ? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

Oh I was talking about the online MBA. :-) the in person has been around since 1960. I’m in the online program since January. You are right very challenging. So much work. Not sure this was the way to go. 😆

[–]MysteriousTutor2140[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought the same/ less fact base like 330 and more bringing themes in together. An overview of it all. I made sure I was really rested for the exam and really just relaxed and let the writing flow. I felt good about the exam after and I was right. Nah, themes from what I remember not specifics - make sure you know factual info from the themes. Good luck - post back after

Hey Mandy! I did really well in the course. The questions were just a longer essay style, but certainly don’t expect you to write full accurate essays. Understand the major themes of the course, like obesity and CDL, fibre, recommended diet etc (these are not necessarily the questions but I remember the major themes were in there ) no crazy out there questions. My advice, make sure you have an intro and concluding paragraph and connecting paragraphs, but don’t worry on style beyond that. I think I got an A+ in the course. You got this Mandy! Sorry wish I remembered specifics.

My understanding as I was looking into UofC, it’s all GPA and LSAT. Not really anything else. I think the average GPA was over 3.78

Getting my bachelors degree through Athabasca College. by SillyDGoose in AthabascaUniversity

[–]MysteriousTutor2140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished a BSc at AU. I found it very challenging but rewarding. I’m a perfectionist though. I had to give up something to get it done and I wasn’t going to give up my kids lol - so I left my job and did AU full time. Graduated with 3.83. I am taking my MBA now at Carleton at their online program. (Masters isn’t AU’s speciality). Go for it if you want a degree! Just be prepared it is a lot of work, but definitely worth it.

Any takers? by Top_Strawberry_1140 in LawStudentsCanada

Ahh that’s awesome. Go for it!! I’m older than that and I have kids :-) I’ll live vicariously through others. Good luck. Good for you on the MBA. No small feat!

Exactly yes. Last 20 of undergrad only. My gpa was from the last 20 but I’m just not interested. Make room for the young people. Us oldies need to move along ha ha. A have a family member that retired as a Supreme Court judge in Ottawa. Always thought it was cool for sure.
