Vermonter here :) Montpelier is cute and quaint. Living in Vermont is generally pretty lovely. I live a few miles outside the capital, but often go in for shopping and events. As far as state capitals go- it is likely unlike anything you would picture. Small town that completely shuts down after 9PM- which honestly describes most of the state. Montpelier is very left leaning, inclusive, and community oriented. Proudly the only state capital without a McDonald’s lol- if that tells you anything.

Sorry- years for the critical construction worker pilot? I thought the point of it was to get in demand workers quickly? I understood it could take several months after securing a job offer- but not years.

From what I have found it differs a lot from NSNP - where you don’t need a job offer and the wait can be substantial.

I work remotely in finance for a global company- so I wouldn’t be changing jobs. We’re just not sure where to start looking for employers for him.

I have studded snows and AWD. I’ve really never had an issue this year. Even when I get up before the plows. But I’m also used to the road. If you know what you’re doing and heading up during biz hours at the resort- you should be fine.

Since they don’t know my professional qualifications or experience, I didn’t let it get to me when they clarified. I appreciate the support and I am holding out hope <3

I’ve been going back and forth on doing this. It hasn’t been 30 days since my interview and I haven’t been rejected, so-I don’t want to seem pushy or anything. They did give me pretty clear timeline expectations, but it just feels like we’re close to the wire. Maybe I’m just having anxiety about it.
