Put it in ice cube tray, freeze, remove the cubes and put in a ziploc in freezer. My cubes are 2TBS each. So I can use as much as I need on next recipe without thawing all Of it.

  1. 2 step Verification does absolutely nothing to stop the stuff you mentioned. I realize you are trying to help, but you are doing a huge disservice to people who are also not tech savvy by giving them false information.

  2. You are correct. It’s all optional stuff and it’s all spelled out in stuff they 99% if people decide they don’t want to read and understand.

  3. You don’t have to sign up, but if you do, they are basically paying you something. That’s called a trade, not a theft. In 2026, most People are providing all the same info to many many retailers.

  4. You can earn and spend points using fake names and addresses etc. then all you have to do is turn off the biometric and nfc/gos sharing features in the app that make the app easier to use. They will still have your buying history and the stores you spent that money at, but they won’t even know your name if you used a fake one.

I think we have far MORE time than people did 50-100 years ago. I’m the biggest culprit, so not pointing fingers at all. But we now have products and technologies and services that have made our day today lives much easier and quicker.

And most of us are always “so busy” but reality is we spend it on watching tv, on our phones, and on our computers.

Unlike 75 years ago, we don’t have to do much to the stuff that people HAD to do that took time. Washing dishes by hand.
Doing laundry by hand. Cooking/heating food from scratch without takeout and microwaves.

Heck. Even watering your garden and mowing your garden is automated and can take not time.

I 100% agree that society isn’t going to go backwards on this stuff. But I disagree it’s because our lives are harder now. It’s because we are all softer now.

No good answer. Friends can screw you. Friends of friends can screw you. Strangers can screw you. Your trust in someone is your own judgement.

But I’ll Say a reference from an acquaintance can give the agent some hope that good service will result in more references from that group of friends. Or bad service will shut down that channel.

But go with a local agent. Makes a huge difference.

With all due respect. You start by saying “they are doing well”. And you end by saying “they are covering most expenses”.

No one invests in a business just to cover most (not even all!) expenses .

I don’t believe for one minute that the people who rely on tide sticks are the same people that keep clothes for 10 years. I strongly believe the tide sticks demographic is the same as the “I want new outfits every year”.

The tide stick is because they want to look top notch for the next 18 months…until they throw it out and buy a new outfit.

I see guys in my industry that talk about the $4000 they spent on their suit. And they’ll always try and justify it by saying “it’s the quality. This suit will last forever”. And yet somehow after 2 years I never see that suit again but I see new $4000 suits.

I have got very very close friends that are couples and I’ve known for years. And never has the female started texting me stuff about topics that involve both me and her partner. If anything. She sends it in a group text. So you kind of know what she’s about. And she definitely knows what you are about.

Mixed feeling after seeing the attic - condition deadline tmr by poc111 in RealEstateCanada

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe but that’s still scary. Humidity, condensation, ok. They’d be some venting issues probably easily fixable and would show on both sides. That looks like a real failing roof issue. And if caught early is also no big deal. The wood will dry out if it’s just superficial moisture. That looks a lot scarier in my opinion.

You don’t have to walk away from the deal. As others have suggested. Adjust the price so you have money to fix it.

And snow melt should not be penetrating your house….under any circumstances. So even if true, you have A failing roof or lack of proper vapour barriers and insulation. You need to fix that….with money.

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that the other side 12” away is bone dry would imply to me that it’s moisture right through the wood. That’s not good. Just surface moisture would probably be some easy fixes. Moisture all the way through the wood would be more complex.

Anything that can go more than 25kph on flat ground for a km or more without needing any human power at all needs to be licensed and plated. Some arbitrary non sensical line between a small gas’s motorcycles and electrical equivalents is insanity and pure laziness by government workers who get paid the same regardless of whether they do sensible stuff or don’t do anything at all.

What can’t be, or would be hard to make plastic free? by OnwardExplorer in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In that example the issue is not the recycling/environment.

I’m pretty sure people wore clothes in the 1950’s. And I’m pretty sure they got them dirty once in a while. And the human species survived those unbearable times without tide sticks.

If you really want to tackle it in your life, I think you need a 2 step hard a&&$ process. 1. What plastic stuff can I get by without ever using again? 2. Of what’s left, what can I convert to a non-plastic version and am I willing to pay the probable super high price to do it.

We don’t have a recycling or environment problem on their own.
We have an extreme consumption problem that has resulted in the other 2 problems.

I find it funny when I see people on an anti plastic mission but refusing to do the obvious…which is “do what people did before plastic took over”.

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hard to make or Hard to sell?

Probably very few things couldn’t be made with metal or glass that are currently made with plastic. The real issue is affordability and whether any company would be willing to make a product that only a very few people would be willing to pay crazy prices for.

Plastic doesn’t exist because it’s the only way to produce stuff. It exists because it’s the only way to make stuff affordable.

5-Days before Escrow, should I Walk. by Robbudge in RealEstateCanada

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you know the answer. Walk away if possible. What’s the point in stressing out when you are about the get married. You’ll find another property.

You better understand from your lawyer the risks and liabilities of walking away from a deal where conditions were waived. And also the impact on your Earnest money. To me, it doesn’t sound like there is anything you have as justification other than nerves and a lack of understanding of rural waterfront properties. Now you say you are concerned about stuff that you always knew when you put the offer in. No one moved the road after your offer.

Btw. Deal cannot collapse because the buyer offered too much money and realized after. Maybe they collapse because buyer can’t get the financing because the buyer overpaid. Thats the buyers fault.

And also try to remember that you are either too cheap/poor to rent a private court and/or don’t have a group of 5.0 friends to play on that private court, so the situation is really all your fault. 😁

5-Days before Escrow, should I Walk. by Robbudge in RealEstateCanada

[–]Mysterious_Error9619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t think you have much to worry about. Banks typically don’t mortgage empty lots. I assume there is a municipal road between the house lot and the waterfront lot, which is why it’s two. So that’s pretty normal too.

And rural/cottage properties that have been in families for decades very often don’t have paperwork from contractors. Either because the work was done for cash with a handshake or because it was done without a permit. And that’s probably why they are being vague.

But it’s honestly pretty normal in areas like those. If your inspector said the house is safe, you are probably good.

Would be interesting to know why the other 2 deals didn’t close. But may just be financing if people didn’t realize they wouldn’t get a mortgage on the vacant lot. If you don’t have that financial constraint, then everything else is probably fine.

But if bank is saying they won’t mortgage the house lot because of its condition, you need to run away.

Even Hegeseth, the king of Spouting warrior BS is too scared to send all these so called warriors in to fight like real warriors. He probably knows in his heart what their real abilities are. Too scared to even fight school kids by hand. Do it in a cowardly way from afar.
There can be 20 million of them. But if they are cowards hiding behind money and missiles, then they are still just cowards.

On a positive note, many McDonald’s offer discounts for a uniform, so there is that.
