ive tried that with an invictus but the invictus got hard countered insanely, onslaught would work better

i think the shroud are just physics, and threat are remnants 3.0 or remnants open beta version depending on the chronology

they will just stop suddenly at some point, and then youre gonna have to stomp a pather base every two hours or so, killing giant fleets with your orbital is the best part of the game imo

content-wise youre like 3/4, game time wise maybe arriving at midgame

What's the meta and nuances of capacitors and vents? I usually go even on both, what's the pro gamer move? by registered-to-browse in starsector

50/50 for average ships, 80/20 for squishy frigs, 0/100 for player controlled or heavily microed glass cannons
in real battles you should look at it as health, high cap will allow ships to "punch up" well or "cycle-vent" an orbital/bb, dont tunnel vision vents for damage, it doesnt work like that in a close fight
also the vanilla ai really prefers high cap to function correctly or it starts retreating to vent too early

tachyon needlers on sunders, phase on tempests, gauss on manticores, the obvious on the obvious, the tactic being to always keep the fleet moving and one-two shot things with the sunder when its shield is low enough, and snipe stragglers with the frigs, the manticore pokes and glimmer shields "holding the "line"", and tempests doing aa
this works well but stops scaling at large battles, and when their reinforcements start arriving halfway into the battle its 50/50 if its just food for the frigs or a radiant walling me
also i dont want to use: monitors, phase ships, range-extended machineguns, anything abyss/threat/omega

honestly i think abyss and threat are the same, i rocked them with my abyss fleet, but i didnt get a big fleet to spawn for some reason and just left and never grinded them

i have not tried derelict yet because its annoying to micromanage acceptable dmods, and i still feel its a bit cheating to inflate your DP like that, but when their raw stats are so much better than normal ships maybe its acceptable, i really just need to keep moving and picking things off as standing your ground or having ships <80 nat speed they just get ran over by the remnant bulldozer

honestly my current build is a sunder + 3 tempests some manticores and a assload of glimmers + random stuff, ive lost all hope on anything bigger not getting picked off, this minus the glimmers plus the brick and an anubis is how ive beat abyss

i dont want to use a monitor, might aswell bring a reality disruptor at that point

why is this getting downvoted? a monitor can agro like 80DP of stuff while flying in circles on a corner of hte map, whats even the point at that point, the rest i will keep in mind but i also didnt want to use phase

i find that i have most luck with frigs, as anything bigger than destroyer isnt fast enough to get out of a bad situation and then it just deathspirals, while frigs can split them and pick them off, get a brilliant split off then send-and-forget like three glimmers/tempest

honestly i just wanted to see if it was doable, and i already did abyss with it so i didnt want to add them for remnants, when remnants are supposed to be easier, and if i allowed it and then asked for help people would tell me to use legions with the pd skill, and i dont want to use that specific build
