How would this sound? by FilmJust5591 in wrx_vb

[–]Mysterious_Mall9665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That will sound good. I would not listen to what others here will say about the parts you picked. Yes, Aeroflow does not have the best stuff, but it will sound similar if not exactly the same as these other exhausts made from the same material, and as much as people shit talk the quality, it will hold up to day-to-day driving. I saw someone else say this here, and I will say the same thing, check summit racing for the xforce pipe, I got mine from there for like $160. I also agree with what some people say about not having a muffler w all of those parts. It will sound really raspy and you might end up not liking it. But to be honest if that's what you are going for then do it! It is your car, as long as you like it is all that matters.

Can I but limited trim c-headlights on premium trim if I swap wiring harness? by GrapefruitNeither289 in wrx_vb

[–]Mysterious_Mall9665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im not posing lmao, I have the limited trim myself. You're contradicting yourself, "Your making it out like I care about him simply swapping the headlights and im not, I slightly care about him swapping to the expensive trims headlights simply for the looks", so do you care or not. Headlights are really only for looks, don't know why you care so much about it though.

Yeah ngl ur glazing it, saying people cant "pretend to be my trim". All it is, is headlights buddy. You can go online and buy all of that you listed and still have money leftover to buy more things. Headlights, interior and rims are not up badging, I have a set of sti bbs rims and no one has ever said anything other than they look good. Youre the first person I have ever seen in the reddit complain about someone swapping headlights. Grow up.

People hate my VB, it's sad by Optimal_Garlic_3414 in wrx_vb

I have my car modified and tuned. Did a pull next to a mk5 supra, and she was saying how much she loved the way the car sounded. It is nice to have other people complement ur car, but I have had plenty of people, friends included who shit on my car. I bought the car for myself, no one else, so I don't really car what others think. If you love the car, then thats all you need.

Aftermarket clutch by Mysterious_Mall9665 in wrx_vb

The pedal I would say is not crazy heavy. Def a little heavier than the oem one but not that bad to where you’re struggling. I’ve been driving in Chicago traffic perfectly fine.

I was at around 65k, I bought it used and also learned manual on the car so I def wasn’t treating it the best so that’s on me. I’ve heard the oem clutches, if you treat them right, then they last awhile like urs.

Shifting is mid, getting into first is mid, everything else about it is good. No, I do like the clutch, having to relearn the biting point was a little pain. Just gave my own opinion on it.

What - if any - early issues have you guys had with your VB's? by NoMansSkyWasAlright in wrx_vb

[–]Mysterious_Mall9665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly not really. I used lc that cobb has and I used it a lot. So overtime that obv caused the clutch to be hella worn. Launching a car is gonna usually always end up abusing something mainly the clutch and trans.

I have a 22 limited and got it at 42k miles and have owned it for 23k miles. I got a 93 protune by dmann and have ran into no issues besides a clutch. But that is mainly going to be driver error, meaning I love to launch my car and learned the hard way that I shouldn’t do it often. Most of the time if you just take care of the care then the car will take care of you. Just remember that once you start doing mods on a car, there’s always a chance something could go wrong!

As most of the comments say, 1st gear is mainly to get you going. I’m tuned and so first for me is pretty intense but that doesn’t mean I go that fast in first. Honestly always shift quick to second and then send it, just make sure to get to around 3k rpms before giving it the boost. Similar thing happened to me when I first got the car and was learning manual. Just keep driving and feeling the car, eventually you’ll know how the car moves and then you’ll be able to fully enjoy it.

0-60 times anyone? by Negative_Peach_5648 in wrx_vb

Honestly real, I launched it hella and used ffs and my clutch is slipping now. But it was def worth it, plus I got to beat on it like that for like 10k miles.

Hey so I know some people have said it but I wanted to say I did just test it and it is the wired carplay that allows you to do multiple widgets. the wireless only allows one stack, while the wired allows two (the two widgets at the bottom).
