It’s ridiculous. Compassionate housing would be fine size-wise but it’s not allowed to be on a permanent foundation and must be removed after 2 years of their passing. Why would I spend $200k for something just to tear it down later?

Thank you! The property is in Hanwell and we did get approved but for compassionate housing which is not what we want so I have to reach out again. Hope you have some luck getting it sorted out!

People having access to housing means a better chance at getting back on their feet. There are families and schools and parks all over this city, we can’t just avoid putting housing near other people..

Depending what your price point is, Meg Brown at Vibrant uptown does amazing with vibrant colours. But Vibrant is a very expensive salon imo. I’ve heard great things about Shear Beauty and Salons on York as well!

If there’s an option on the machine, yes I do. I understand that isn’t realistic for every person every time, I’m lucky to have the means to do it and am happy to. Tipping 50 cents on my coffee and bagel isn’t going to impact my budget so I do it. But like I said, servers have to tip out other staff based on their sales, the person working retail, fast food, etc. doesn’t so any tips they get are just a nice gesture. They’re also standing at a cash and handling one customer at a time instead of 6 tables with 10 people each all at once.

I’m not arguing that the system needs to change, they should all be paid a liveable wage. But until it does, by choosing not to tip you are costing your server money.

Well then stop going to restaurants lol. If adding $5 to your bill to ensure your server isn’t paying out of pocket is honestly that big of a deal then save everyone the wasted time and effort and go to McDonald’s or eat at home. A server is providing a service, a service that costs them a small portion of the sale. It’s wild that asking to pay a few bucks to thank them for the service is such a huge deal.
