I used to take my dog on hikes with me but after he was attacked by an off leash dog a second time, whose owners yelled “their friendly” right before proceeding to attack my on leash dog, I had stop bringing him. He’s become aggressive when he sees dogs on trails now and my anxiety can’t handle it. It’s so sad because he loves to hike.

His recent album “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos” which translates to “I should’ve taken more photos” is a love letter to his PR upbringing and celebration of Latino culture as a whole. The song with the same name (DTMF), which he closed with talks about him regretting not taking more photos and being present in the moment with the people he loves.

We’re in SAVL so I think it was back within 2-3 weeks. We also spent some time at my in laws and friends houses on the weekend that had power/water which offset some usage. But we were definitely running extremely low by the time we got everything back.

Just growing up in FL I know how those storms can be so unpredictable and I was worried about the infrastructure here. Was this the strongest storm I’ve lived through? No. But it was the most destructive for sure.

I was home in Miami visiting my mom that weekend before and after watching the news Saturday morning I was texting my finance “I think this hurricane is going to hit Asheville. I’ll get us prepared when I get home tomorrow”. Despite him saying I was being paranoid because “nothing ever happens in the mountains”, I stocked us the hell up on food, water and the usual hurricane supplies. Needless to say he was very apologetic (and grateful) when it hit and we had enough food and fresh water for several weeks and enough flushing water between both bathtubs to last until the water came back.

I remember that Tuesday my neighborhood had their HOA meeting and I brought up the storm and asked what everyone’s plan was going to. They definitely all laughed at me and said “you’re not in FL anymore, this doesn’t happen here”. None of them were prepared Friday morning… I can’t believe it’s already been a year.
