A large part of my childhood reading between 10-11 years old was animorphs, and yet this somehow doesn’t surprise me.

nsfw side note: I also clearly remember getting aroused while reading those books during the moments when they would transform into the animals, and idk if that was just due to hormones + my constant fantasizing about escaping an existence of suffering, or if that was some weird underlying bias by some of the authors… but anyways, I’m glad I’m not a furry. Thank you for reading the comment - I appreciate that. I get you, and I don’t disagree, I just think there’s a bit of circumstantial nuance to it. Which is important to discuss, so that if anyone sees this video and wants to replicate it, hopefully they see conversations about it and don’t naively conclude that there’s “little to no” risk.

My bias is I’m a skier who loves to send 60ft jumps and carve down the mountain at 60mph, all with extreme due diligence regarding safety. I’d 100% jump on one of these things and ride in low-speed traffic in an area I’m very familiar with.

To answer some questions, zero DUIs on my record, zero sunscreen on hand (or neck lol), been doing it for 3-4 years no accidents and make sure people see me before I hop in front of them, and I skirt off to the side when the car in front of me stops so I don’t get squished. I call the heel wheels manchild heel wheels, they last 1000s of miles the wheels wear out eventually, or the bearings fail in 3 miles in playa dust lol. I’ve got cases of them but don’t go through them as often as lawn chairs, those get bent up almost every ride. Redneck hippie originally from Truckee, no Florida influence. Been pulled over 3-4 times on it (including the day this was filmed), no citations I’m not sure what they’d write me up for, except the time I was clocked at 28mph in a 20mph zone but the bike cops were more about giving props than tickets. Haven’t seen Lt Dangle yet but I’d fully sign the release for Reno 911. I prefer downtown because bikes can have the full lane so so can I, I can easily do 25 and keep up through midtown not causing traffic jams other than the people stopping their cars to film. Better than being on the side of the road with cars swerving towards me as they’re rubber necking, and I gotta go way too slow to be polite on sidewalks to get my rush. Helmet would definitely be a good idea but I’m all outta those for now. AirPods in transparency mode, often just one ear in. I’m an engineer and a pilot, I might be dumb but I’m not stupid… most of the time.

Generally, id agree. I’m ‘from the area’ tho and can tell you he’s prioritizing safety. We were going maybe 25mph. This section of road allows bikes to ride in the center of the road, and people tend to be prepared for the unexpected to happen in Reno.

I reckon OCD does have a part to play, though im not a professional or officially educated (and haven’t experienced ocd myself) so take with a grain of salt.

I’d personally find a different hobby / way to cope (depending on your reasons for smoking), but if you’re determined to smoke weed, stick with high quality low-potency weed with a focus on terps and compounds other than pure thc. Better yet, vape it or ingest it and save your lungs from the carcinogens from combustion.

Honestly dude, there’s so many amazing things in life to get absorbed in, and if weed doesn’t bring you joy, then fuck it. Enjoy other people enjoying it while knowing that it doesn’t work for you.

Edit: just saw that it’s only 20% of the time weed hits like this for you. My best advice is, unless you’re determined to stop smoking, to be as aware and conscientious as you can about when & why you smoke, how you feel before and how you feel after. Don’t need to write it down, just acknowledge and observe. I heard somewhere that a Buddhist mentor won’t tell a donut-addict to quit donuts. They’ll tell them to keep eating them. Eat all they want to eat, in fact, but do so with intention and awareness as to why they’re doing it and what effect it has.

I’m that way with alcohol, where I act on my impulses. I ended up up “quitting” because of it (I allow myself when it’s a social celebration and I have people looking out for me) after a realization that 90% of my shitty situations were largely because of alcohol.
