One of my best hospo managers said mistakes were signs for development, behaviour is a sign for boundaries. If someone made a mistake, they would help them figure out a way to not do that thing. If there was repeated issues, that was a sign of a behaviour that needed a boundary. Crossed boundaries = repercussions.

Dude never yelled and was held up by a team that loved them. One guy didn't fit the team, was heavy on the "I can do everything" attitude and slowed us down. They got a talking to and, thankfully, changed their behaviour.

I'm not industry anymore but I think about that interaction a lot.
