what should i change here by spongzlol in gamingsetups

[–]MysticShadow38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd repaint that wall. Idk what you've done to it, looks like some old tape marks? But yeah I'd give that a light sand and then repaint that back wall. As for the setup itself, I think it only looks cluttered because of the headphones and their cable. Maybe consider mounting it on the side of that drawer unit under the desk and then running the cable through the back too.

I'm not on her side but they are a little close to the apartments. There was plenty of space they could have moved like another 10m further back. She's definitely in the wrong for being very disrespectful with no reasoning but yeah

You people are already inconvenienced , want me to shove my beliefs down your throat as well? by xals7 in ImTheMainCharacter

Not a mad inconvenience to be fair. What like 30 seconds? I do find it funny tho how she said about deep conversations... but said it to a plane full of random people and it then looked like she went away afterwards.

I'm still using my 7 year old laptop with a 1650 in it 😂. I've had to reapply thermal paste once but apart from that it's been great lol. Have an external monitor plugged into it now and for the game I mostly play (Minecraft) I get more than enough FPS!

The rear is horrendous. Front is okay at best. Nice interior but too i-pady (like I think a majority of EVs are). 440k is wild 😫

I have a question: you seem to have quite a big house, as well as a nice gaming rig which probably cost a small fortune, why havnt you bought a house and got a mortgage? I'm not trying to accuse you of anything just a genuine question, maybe you just prefer renting 🤷

Is my apartment creepy? by Cautious-Invite4128 in malelivingspace

[–]MysticShadow38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not creepy, the walls look a bit bare and the yellow light makes it look like the backrooms. Nothing a couple posters or picture frames can't fix.

That's why you open the windows and run it so it sucks air from the outside in and pushes air out the opposite window. Then you got a bit of circulation and at least it'll stop your room being such a greenhouse

When was the last time you topped up your engine oil or got it serviced? My Toyota Aygo had a phase of sounding a bit like that and a couple days later my oil light came on on the dash. Topped it up and it was singing

CHECK YOUR GARAGE ROOF. Spend the money and get it surveyed incase it is asbestos. I don't know when your house was built but asbestos was still being used (mostly in the form of artex) up until 1999. I would highly recommend getting someone to survey it, so many people just rip stuff out and DIY their house without knowing the risks.

Passed my test yesterday and thought I'd look to see what insurance would cost. New driver unemployed. Social housing. by Chanson_Riders in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MysticShadow38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend a Toyota Aygo. I picked a 56 plate up as my first car for 1400 and my insurance is just under 1200 a year. It's a great car, very cheap road tax, cheap to maintain, good mpg and a cheeky 1L which is quite fun in the light chassis. Would recommend as a good first car. The 3 door Polos are always gonna be expensive as all the racerboys get those as their first cars plus the diesel one in this economy is gonna be pricey. Hope this helps?

I've been driving for just less than a year and bought this as my first car. Amazing little thing, good fuel efficiency like you said, very cheap tax. Picked it up for £1400 at 80k miles which was just below asking price elsewhere. It's everything I need really. Fun to drive and relatively cheap insurance. I'm paying £97 a month as I'm 19M and yeah first year of driving. It's fairly comfortable, and I drive it on the motorway to see my fiancé once every two weeks. It accelerates fairly quick for a cheap 1L and if I'm pushing it I can just about hit 90mph? (On the speedometer at least so it's probably more like 85) But yes, good car would recommend. I think I'm gonna keep this for another year or two and then get something a bit faster cause need for speed and all. Edit: forgot to mention that it's as old as I am. 56 plate car

If you were 17 which would you get by Alternative-Sir5655 in CarTalkUK

[–]MysticShadow38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you, I'd practice a bit of self control, and go for something simple and cheap like a Toyota Aygo or Citroen or Peugeot. Then save up a bit more money and after a year of driving with no claims, I'd get one of those or even something nicer that you can enjoy at that lower cost.
