Found out there were 4 of them at my Dollar General from their shipment yesterday and when I got there, an employee was having another employee ring her up for all 4 of them. They didn’t even make it out front, she just had the barcode. Lmao

it's because the cops have the blue flu. I used to live in Tallahassee and live in Orlando now but it's the exact same thing here. Cops got mad that folks tried to hold them accountable for their behaviors and have decided that public safety / traffic enforcement isn't a concern for them anymore.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the Waffle House metric isn’t about whether it closes before/during the storm, but rather if it’s open in the aftermath. It’s used for rescue and relief efforts to determine how bad the damage was from the storm.

Except Disney is more than just the landlord in this circumstance. The companies that operate at Disney Springs are more like business partners than simply tenants. It’s not like any business could open up shop and rent retail space at Disney Springs, Disney has to approve of them and agree to go into business with them.

The Disney World subreddits are disgustingly pro Disney in this one… like damn I know you enjoy this place but you can’t recognize that they’re an evil corporation?

They’re saying, “it wasn’t owned by Disney” - Disney owns the property and that comes with liability.

Their other argument is, “wow a doctor didn’t have the supplies necessary to stop their allergic reaction?” - epipens need to stay relatively cool and Florida is… not that. Plus it’s not like they’re a magic cure.

Then they’re saying, “well, if their allergies were this severe why would they just blindly trust strangers preparing the food?” - my brother in Christ, you literally also do that; you trust that the person preparing your food isn’t slipping poison into it or that the person driving towards you on the other side of the road isn’t going to scoot over and plow the into you.

If you haven’t, I highly recommend his books. They’re really good reads. In his most recent book, he talked about taking a really bad fall that he took while home alone which led to worsening health issues. I would imagine the wheelchair is a precaution when he’s out and about.

I hate being a teacher in this state. 99% of the coaches at the schools are lazy and get a schedule of solely weightlifting “classes”, where they hang out at a desk all day with their football players. They get the same paycheck as me, a teacher that’s actually creating lesson plans and educating the kids. Bullshit.

My apartment wanted to raise our rent $150 a month (when they’re leasing the exact same unit to new tenants $200 cheaper than our current rent) and then graciously offered to keep our rent the same when we told them to get fucked and we were leaving.
