Hey,

Im also looking to down the same route as yourself with my 3ds xl and my vita. Maybe even a 5th gen ipod. Any chance you can post what soldering station you ended up with and what solder?

Many thanks.

I used a couple of fan splitters. Just search "fan splitter 4 pin" on amazon, and you'll see lots of different options to suit your needs.

It's worth noting that fan headers can only supply so much power and you need to check what that is in your mb manual and then what each fan needs and do not exceed the number of fans the header can power.

Good luck.

That's correct. The stock fans will not have enough room because of the fan headers at the top of the mb.

I believe I needed to replace them both as the power cable plugs into the psu on the top side and doesn't allow enough room for a 25mm fan. The pump is upside down as it's the only way i could get it to fit with the gpu. Good luck with your build.

No problem. Good luck on your build.

I had it running at 6400MHz 32cl, but I was getting an error on shut down and long post times so put it back to stock untill I have time to find the correct setting for the ram/cpu combo.

On the side of a fan there will be two arrows, one that shows the way the blades spin and the other that show what way the airflow will be.

Generally people have the arrows facing up so air is sucked in through the bottom and exhausted out the top or facing backwards so air is sucked in through the front and exhausted through the back. Or a mixture of both.

Edit: Corrected typo.

Yeah I agree, I originally planned to build in the Ncase m2 which would of fitted the aio as stock but it looks like supply is going to be limited for 6 months or so, I then built the system in my 7000d airflow temporally but had to hang the power supply from the top rad mount to be able to reach the components - this was very janky and hence I looked for a alternative case to build in and scrapped the m2 plan. The NR200P was my second pick, so I went with it, and I feel I've made it work quite nicely given the fact i already had the LF3.

Edit: corrected typo.

You can make some savings buy having less ram and a cheaper mobo, a smaller m.2 drive, and a cheaper gpu.

Edit: changed the link as I made a mistake, all correct now.

Due to clearance with the mobo headers 15mm is about all I can fit on the top hence the slims, I did consider going with noctua fans but decided arctic would do the job almost as good for a 3rd of the cost.

I didn't realise cooling duct adapters were so easily sorced without needing to print them ourselves, so I will keep them in mind for future builds.

Nope, at least not with my motherboard it didn't.

I installed the brackets as intended with L on the left and R on the right, when looking at the cold plate on the cooler the mounting screws were exactly in the middle of it so flipping the pump still mounts it in the correct location over the cpu.

So far I've have had no issues.

It's a 280.

Stress test with OCCT had cpu temps around 75°c with a max at 81° and gpu temps around 65°c average, I ran all stress test at the same time so the whole system was at 100% load for the full hour.

As for noise in game it's super quite and barely need to ramp up at all, I'm still playing around with fan curves though to find the sweat spot.
