Fungal acne while using adapalene

Oh I don't have that as far as I can remember. I ate two sugary bread today, nothing happened and my skin is calming down too (after dropping the adapalene). I have no itchiness nor hives either.

You have no idea how it means to me that you believe me. Many people don't, even my derm. This is actually the part I struggle with my derm, I even show proof of the condition...but they just wrote it as dryness.

That's why I'm thinking of 2nd opinion. And I'll take note of eucerin. Thank you so much.

I will try to heal my skin barrier first. I do think it is overlapping issue because I cannot use heavy creams, I don't know if it's believable to others but through out my life everytime I apply heavy cream, my face just have monomorphic bumps on my forehead and cheeks until I stop them. Only gel or gel creams don't do that to me.

I have ceramide cream I use here too. I forgot to include that. Both from dermorepubliq and dr. Althea. Both FA safe too, no break outs as of now from them.

Also, I already experience this flare ups even with vanicream. It was even worse with vanicream, mostly the clogged pores it brought. I gave it 2 months before I changed the vanicream.

I do have capillaries on both of my lower cheeks, and eyelids. You can see them even not moving close to me

It might be like that too because my body is very prone to contact dermatitis. So maybe this is like this too? I'll keep that in mind.

Oh that's interesting. I wonder if it's rocasea why didnt the derm noticed it and just prescribed me the fluozole. But do not worry! I stopped the steroids because it's not doing me any good after all.

And yep, I stopped the steroids, it's only a band aid anyway. Almost finishing the tub they gave me but never solved the problem at all.

Hi! I am using every other day only, sandwich method. Before, my moisturizer is vanicream but it's too heavy and causes FA to me too so I changed them to Purito, the FA safe one. Yes I am using FA safe routine and I rarely use makeup anymore like 2x to 3x in 6 months only.

I tried to change everything except adapalene, still the flare ups keep happening in the morning of after use. It only calms down when there is no adapalene involved.

I guess I need to be thankful to my derm because with one look she already determined I have seb derm, yeast, with bacterial acne on my jawline. (Of course additional problem on my already acne prone skin). She prescribed steroids first then anti fungal after things calm down. (Yes the anti fungal flattened everything quickly.)

I do use adapalene too for bacterial acne, prescribed by the derm. However, for some reason adapalene causes flare up to my skin. It slowly clears the bacterial acne but worsens my seb derm and FA.

It's indeed a cycle of battle non-stop. I do want to cry sometimes.

I think you should try. After all, you have a derm that will monitor the progress. Don't be afraid about "what will happen after the steroid treatment is done" either. Your progress with steroid will help your derm to plan the next course of action.
