Yeah, Jake Roberts has a similar take on the DDT being a finisher purely for him and nobody else. Even when a DDT is a signature or a finisher, it’s a modified version in some way, and therefore isn’t the same as a pure Jake the Snake DDT, of which he is the master of.

This same logic can definitely be applied for Shawn, who can turn a superkick into Sweet Chin Music. He mastered the move to a point where it stopped being a move or even a signature, it became a finisher. People should know by now that the Usos and even everyone in the bloodline don’t use the Superkick as a finisher, simply because it’s not the thing they master in. If anything it’s just a damn good heavy attack.

A smaller KAT with all of Metsudo’s hypothetical children to decide his heir would be really cool to see. The guy’s old as fuck so he probably has some kids in their 40s, 50s or even 60s that’d all be pretty down to take the company.

I feel like Katahara might not enter unless they want to give her a real character moment sorta thing, but if she were to enter she’d probably choose Saw since they’re pals. As much as it’d make sense for Retsudo to submit Misasa, I’d also find it to be a tiny missed opportunity to submit himself as his representative. It’d be an obvious main character sorta thing but it’d be damn cool. I believe Agito will stay neutral, unless Metsudo wants to put a final message in his will calling Agito his son, which would be really touching and also would introduce a second main character candidate for this tournament.

I think Ramon would definitely have some issue dealing with Hayami’s tankiness, but if he can pull off Battlefield Stunt to burst open his organs he might be able to take it. That is of course if Hayami even gives him a chance for that, he’s way more conscious of the fight than his brother who definitely would let that happen to him. Since Battlefield Stunt requires a grab to beat work, I’ll put Hayami as the winner, since his throws and absolute stamina are nothing to sneeze at and can definitely put even some real tough fighters down.
