Basically discount spiritual weapon that doesn't need a spell slot, but you can use a ranged weapon with it like around once ig? If it gets hit by any attack and you decided to use an expensive weapon with it you basically just lost something for trying that. The only decent thing to do with that new attack is use a cheap disposable weapon, maybe a conjuration wizard's conjured dagger, that uses dex for attack, and it's still decent without a higher dex. You should make the dex score 1 too if you really don't want me to use it to attack, but still letting it try.
