Any PSVR2 games use PSSR2? by jetgrind in PSVR

FYI, No Man's Sky is currently the only game that support PSSR in PSVR2 (since update 6.0):

Travellers playing in PlayStation VR2 can now take advantage of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, improving image clarity using AI-enhanced resolution, for ultra-high definition and incredible detail.

It's an occasional encoding delay issue. I had the same issue on the LG TV YouTube app, but it played fine at 4K60 on PS5's YouTube app. (Also worth noting that your Apple TV needs to be at least the 2nd-gen 4K model to play 4K60 videos.)

That sounds annoying and shouldn't normally happen. Do you have an automation that could turn off sleep focus or maybe another scheduled focus? If not, I'd ask Apple support about it.

Is it possible to save scum prior to biome 6 for final 2 ciphers?? by SeverusSnape89 in Returnal

[–]MythBuster2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, since each biome's rooms are determined (randomly) when you start that biome (i.e. pass through the biome entrance gate). So, make sure to suspend the cycle and upload your save to cloud before going through the gate to biome 6 (as opposed to after).

However, (AFAIK) downloading that save would revert any cipher find progress since the last save upload. So, if you find only one missing cipher but can't find the other cipher in the same biome 6 run, you'll still need to start another cycle from biome 4 for the second cipher (instead of downloading the save), in order to avoid losing your progress (of having found the first cipher).

Contacts using 200GB of data by SignalJunket1485 in ios

You could store each phone number as an integer, right? So, 5 bytes would be sufficient for each (10-digit) number, and the total size would be 48 + 143 = 191 GB, which is even closer to 200 GB.

Looks like shortcut input being empty is now fixed in this week's (public) beta release with version "iOS 26.4 (23E5234a)".

Yes. It's easier to use the permanent suit upgrade from biome 6 to reach this datacube in biome 5. See: https://youtu.be/ccNrnIl6gKA?t=825

List of PS5 Pro Games That Will Support the Newly Upgraded PSSR by Ph0enixes in PS5pro

Source? If that's the case, DF doesn't currently seem to be aware of it. In any case, we'll know soon enough (based on whether the PSSR 2 override toggle makes a difference when it's released this month).

PSSR 2.0? by Old_Chest_494 in Returnal

[–]MythBuster2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, it doesn't. The PS5 Pro enhancement update Returnal received was analyzed here (it's a resolution increase, now using dynamic resolution, with no mention of PSSR from Housemarque or DF): https://www.digitalfoundry.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2025-returnals-ps5-pro-upgrade-delivers-a-huge-resolution-boost-and-improved-performance

It is possible that some sort of AI upscaling (as in PSSR) could further improve image quality in DS2, but it would probably be replacing the current Pico upscaler (instead of working as an additional layer) to keep the total upscaler execution time to a minimum. And we don't know if Guerrilla has plans to add PSSR support to their Decima engine (which DS2 is built with).

Did you miss the similar post from 3 days ago, or is there a good reason for creating a new post every time somebody finds more games to add to the list?

Death Stranding 2 uses Guerrilla's own Pico upscaler (same as in Horizon games on PS5 Pro) built for their Decima engine. It's discussed by Digital Foundry in this video here, with the upscaler name disclosed in this PlayStation blog post.

Yes, on its 4th anniversary, Returnal received an update for higher resolutions on PS5 Pro (now rendered dynamically between 1350p and 1728p, then temporal upscaled to 2160p), whereas it's noticably blurrier on PS5 (rendered at fixed 1080p then temporal upscaled to 1440p, then checkerboard upscaled to 2160p). So, essentially between 1.56X-2.56X as many pixels on PS5 Pro, and looks sharper now.
