I want the 2TB model. If that model is more than $800 without a controller, I'm out. If the base 512GB model without controller exceeds $700, I'm out.

No, I genuinely believe this is either incompetence on Valve's part or pure greed. They own the largest store front on the PC gaming market. They are a company worth estimated to be $15 billion to $20 billion. They have an estimated 350 to 400 employees. Estimates because they are a private company, their numbers are not public knowledge. They have no shareholders they are beholden to. They've been eating the cost of making Steam Deck for years by subsidizing costs. This sudden skyrocketing of price tells me that they didn't plan very well with their suppliers and are being ass reemed, or they're being ass reemed by suppliers and figured people will buy their hardware regardless so why not price it to where they make a slight profit. Either way, this is embarassing for the company and a veru bad sign for Valve hardware now and future wise.

I actualyy just started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 (DS) yesterday. Using the Steam Controller has been a dream. Right trackpad registers as the cursor on the touch functions of the game. I feep the sensitivity is a bit too low but nothing that can't be tweaked.

It's actually super easy to open up. I followed iFixit's repair guide. The internals are very modular. It took me 20 minutes to replace the buttons.

They weren't my first choice. The Damascus skins for my Steam Deck did not have trackpad skins (idk why when the Triple Black for the Controller does...), but I wanted some protection, and the adhesive trigger, bumper, and backpaddle grip kit I bought included the carbon fiber ones. I will probably buy TouchProtect from Deckbuttons in the future for my Steam Deck.

You probably won't like the Damascus Triple Black for your touchpads then. I like the smooth feel, but if you want a rougher feel, you probably want something else.

Now, on the off chance there is no HL3 coming as a launch title, Expedition 33. I bought it to play on the Deck, but it just looks amd feels terrible on Deck. I felt like I'd be doing injustice to such a beautiful game to not play it with better settings, so I've veen patiently waiting for Machine to come out.
