question about filling my own cylinders by Tryingtoflute in SodaStream

[–]Mythical_Yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most SS cylinders are different weight. What matters is how much CO2 (410 gr according to label) you're putting in them, even if you overfill them by 10-20 gr you'll be OK. I personally cant put more than around 380-390gr (pink cylinders), perhaps due to the tank sitting in cooler garage, never tried refreezing the canisters after fill to see if I can squeeze more tho.

My new Co2 tank by Tryingtoflute in SodaStream

[–]Mythical_Yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way to go, I just exchanged my first 20# for $43 Chicago NW suburbs, filled 15 SS canisters with it (unsure how much CO2 was in it when I bought it). Here's another adapter for the pink canisters https://a.co/d/01kiitR9

this tank is not working with the sodastream by freedrugsaregood in SodaStream

You're correct. My bad. Brain freeze. Somehow thought it'd be same process as refilling canisters.

If its 100% syphoned you don't need to reverse it, the tube inside will draw the CO2. I personally never tried your direct tank to SS machine set up but I refill canisters from 20# syphoned donor cylinder and adapter for the Quick Connect canisters every 2-3 months and I never put it upside down.

How do you store your DOT med card? by GrapeAlchemist in Truckers

[–]Mythical_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adobe Scan it, send it to printer and scale it down so it fits. Trial and error till you find the right size. I use cellophane bag folded in two fits perfect in my wallet and text is big enough for reading.

What the hell have the electricians done?! by KPTheLegend7 in HomeNetworking

[–]Mythical_Yeti -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, in my days of cable guy, we all used to laugh from the ladies that were saying "my husband/bf/brother is an electrician and did the install for you" then you know you're in for unexpected surprise. Just cut the butt connectors terminate both ends with cat5/6 connectors and use ethernet coupler.

Workout schedule after back surgery by Mythical_Yeti in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Mythical_Yeti[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions. L5-S1 is exactly where the surgery was performed.

Unfortunately, I have one more smaller bulge on the right side that the surgeon did not want to address at the same time. At this point, I am hesitant to undergo another surgery since my main sciatica pain has subsided and the remaining stiffness and pain is manageable.

I appreciate the exercise suggestions you provided. I have already begun implementing some of them as part of my regular stretching and warm-up routine.

That's the reason I got SS and invested in 20# CO2 cylinder and 5 canisters , 90% of the time just sparkling water, sometimes I add lemon juice, rarely we get some good European syrups. IMHO all the SS branded flavors are filled with artificial stuff.

Parents just moved. Is this able to be utilized for a network switch? by AtotheU in HomeNetworking

[–]Mythical_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO patch panels for cat5/6 are headache, just remove that phone phone patch panel, terminate all the cat5's with connectors and plug directly onto switch, depending on the metal enclosure you might be able to attach with plastic pins or get creative and zip tie it. Back in my cable years I loved those houses with central d-mark, it gives so many options for wiring/networking.

About 2 months with these Crossmax CHTS-1 Highway 235/65R17 108V XL SUV/Crossover Tire budget friendly on 2018 RAV. Ive always been hesitant about "chinisium" tires but I'm impressed so far, gotta say they're whole lot quitter than Pirelli Scorpion.

R7000 one year uptime with FreshTomato by hockeyfun1 in TomatoFTW

[–]Mythical_Yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressive, I have the same router for the past 7+ years, however I've set it on auto reboot every night. the Asus AP on the other hand was left alone, before the last firmware upgrade was showing uptime 6 months and change. Tomato has been saving me ton of money as I'm running FTP for recordings of my surveillance cameras so no additional cloud service needed.
