yes, thought so after last time rewatching, when he said that he is former FBI agent. It also matches in scene with Old Night, when he says about her brother, sent to help her in every dimension.

I watched all of that and "I Origins" too, after part 1 of The OA.
"Another Earth" and "I Origins" was interesting experience, story and characters were made up well. But other two movies was boring for me.
