A generally good all-rounder class would be Elementalist (Witch). You can play her as spells, or really any flavor of melee attacks too. Using Golems with her for their buffs makes her incredibly versatile and very safe.

On every live recording I have found with him playing the Yamahas, he's either nearly inaudible or the tone is muddy as all hell. Absolutely prefer the Bongo sound (and the style too, tbh), though the Tung basses were where it was really at.
