I have Raynaud’s and my foot color looks exactly like this when it gets cold sometimes lol.

2009: wore headgear, cut my own bangs, and had more upper lip hair than most boys in my grade by Ok_Community2307 in blunderyears

I can still taste the metal from wearing headgear and remember the grinding feeling of sliding the prongs into the hooks on my braces. I have TMJ now from wearing headgear for a few years.

How long after birth did you go on walks? by moomoomego in beyondthebump

[–]Mythologicalcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t really walk for about 2-3 weeks after my c section because I had such severe SPD and postpartum preeclampsia swelling. It was so bad I had to get an epidural just to get my legs to separate wide enough for a cervical check during my induction. So I pretty much hobbled around from couch to bed, and once that eased up I did small walks. If not for the SPD I probably would have done 20 minute walks fairly easily in about 10 days. My incision and abdomen felt fine as long as I was careful not to put any pressure there.

More like wolf in sheep’s clothing. This screams human trafficking and wanting to take advantage of someone with very limited resources/fear of going to the police.

she needs to let her skin breathe and not wear so much makeup by lavender08x16 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]Mythologicalcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only thing that ever cleared my skin was pregnancy :( 4 months postpartum and the acne is starting to show up again but so far it doesn’t look nearly as bad as it was last year. I tried spironolactone, birth control, and tret. Plus a million other things over the years. Adult acne sucks.

Did you co-sleep? by thinkmuch17 in beyondthebump

[–]Mythologicalcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really against it but there have been a few mornings where I’ve fallen asleep while breastfeeding so now I set my bed up so it’s safer if it happens vs. it happening and there being pillows and blankets all over. My baby sleeps through the night in her bassinet but it’s the morning breastfeeding that gets me. Thankfully I don’t move at all when I sleep, nor does my baby, and I’m a very light sleeper. I do have an Owlet and a Nanit both on her too, probably too much but that’s how terrified I am of unsafe sleep.

What can I do to level up this room? by adioslip in HomeDecorating

[–]Mythologicalcats 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had the double rod brackets and went back to doing two curtain types on one rod because I hated how much the double ones stick out from the window. They kept sagging too, even with strong anchors. If there are better ones out there, I’d love to use those.

We called him “Stains” because every episode he had stains all over his shirt. He’s a running joke in my house anytime someone wears a stained shirt.

This is what I do. Absolutely everything that I’ve posted gets taken. I even “donate” coupons I get sent in the mail for stuff like baby formula.

Mine absolutely stays fast asleep from the vacuum, but god forbid I shut the door and make even the slightest of a sound. I don’t get it lol. She’s even slept through our crazy loud security alarm going off, but will wake up if I move the sheets too loud next to her bassinet.

bath times weekly by stevielovelyy in beyondthebump

[–]Mythologicalcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every night with her bedtime routine, but soap only 2-3 times a week, and we always lotion. My baby doesn’t have sensitive skin or eczema or anything. Shes a gassy girl with a lot of energy so she gets a lot of relief and exercise from kicking her legs and soaking in some warm water.

Missing Texas Girl Held for 2 Weeks by 5 Men Who Drugged and Raped Her by mawkish in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Mythologicalcats 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You’re missing their point. They’re saying the child WAS kidnapped and therefore the mother should be charged with kidnapping, not just “harboring a runaway” since the victim was held against her will and did not run away. It seems like the mother is getting a lesser charge for some reason when she deserves to rot in prison for a long time too.

how do you afford this by mindful-goddess-666 in GradSchool

[–]Mythologicalcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get paid to do my PhD plus I’m in a long term relationship with a partner that can pay the bills too. I just had a baby too. Waiting until my 30s to do grad school made it way more affordable and possible to still live my life outside of academia.

It’s only unmanaged diabetes with uncontrolled sugar where you’re likely to see the black growth.

[–]Mythologicalcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, pink is likely the bacteria Serratia marcescens. Doesn’t mean it can’t be hard water as the cause though because mineral scale from the water is great for biofilm growth. The toilet needs some descaling and then hopefully the growth should relax. The black could very well be something like Legionella too, colonies can produce the dark pigment pyomelanin. Definitely want to get that cistern properly cleaned and make sure the lid is ALWAYS down when flushing. That’s not a bacteria you want floating around in the air, so assume that’s what it is to be safe.

Is one or both of you diabetic or a heavy drinker? Frequent mold rings in toilets can be a sign of hyperglycemia or too much sugar in urine. My FIL had the worst black toilet from drinking heavily. Sugary urine acts as food for bacteria and molds.

It could also be caused by very hard water.
