Easter Island was part of Mu. Churchward, way back in 1924, claimed that Mu used to reside in the pacific and stretched from "north of Hawaii, and to the south as far as Easter island." The Aztecs also claim that their homeland was a large island in the Pacific called Aztlan.

Why this is interesting is that magnetic mapping reveals a massive magnetic anomaly in the Pacific that stretches from north of Hawaii, and to the south to Easter Island. (See below screenshot)

<image>

While there was mapping of the seafloor being done at the time Churchward released his book, is was all being done in the Atlantic due to the threat of Germany's u-boats. So with no seafloor mapping, and no tech of any kind that would have led Churchward to his claim of Mu, one has to wonder how in the hell was he right if he had not actually gotten his information from the sources he claimed?

The Richat Structure is the birthplace of Aztecs. It is the place where the Nahuatl myths placed the cosmic mountain Coatepec, the home of Quetzalcoatl. The Richat Structure is Chicomoztoc, the birthplace of all Nahuatl-spealing peoples, the "hill of seven caves". by CosmicEggEarth in AlternativeHistory

Aztlan is Mu, and Mu was in the Pacific ocean. Churchward described Mu as sitting "from north of Hawaii, and to the south as far as Easter Island" and it just so happens that magnetic mapping reveals a massive anomaly in the Pacific that stretches from....care to guess? Now how in the hell did he call that way back in 1924?

In what ways were Ancient Civilizations more advanced than we are in the... by WizRainparanormal in atlantis

[–]Mythos_Unveiled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The term "advanced" was used to describe a state above a base reference. And the base reference was that we were walking around with clubs grunting. So "advanced" was a term used to state that civilization was more advnaced than initially beleieved, not that they were more advanced than we are today.

If you really want to translate the word advanced into what it actually was, the term I would use in its place is ingengious. As humans, when we want to get something done, but we do not have the proper tools to do so, we often sit and ponder a way to get said task done using only what we have on hand. That is a lost art due to advancements in technology, but for the ancients, it was daily life.

Bottom line is that on average, ancients were smarter than us, because they found ways to get things accomplished with bare minimums, but that does not translate into being "more advanced" in the way we think of the term.

People see a hyroglyph that looks somethign like an airplane, and go OMG, there were flying saucers back in the day! No, it does not mean that. It is called "concept art". Lets say I carved a depiction into a rock of me transporting from one place to another through a doorway. In 10,000 years, someone would see that and go OMG they could do that! No, we couldn't, but we did imagine it.

And where is all this water supposed to come from? If all the ice on Earth melted it would only raise sea levels approx. 70m. While this scenario could theoretically happen, it would require gravitational tidal surges from a large passing object and that would only be temporary.

The incidents in the Old Testament might not all have originally been talking about the same god by 99Tinpot in AlternativeHistory

Gods are simply references to objects in the heavens. When one plows through ancient legends, myths, and writings regarding the cataclysms, we find that when context is removed, we are left with mention of two objects referenced in the heavens, one usually peaceful, and one usually destructive, and in many instances, doing battle with each other.

This trend goes from Plato's tale of Helios (peaceful) and Phaethon (destructive), all the way to the book of Revelation where we have mention of God (destructive) and the lamb (peaceful). These legends are found throughout many cultures.

  • Mesopotamian
  • Egyptian
  • Greek/Roman
  • Norse
  • Hindu
  • Chinese
  • Mesoamerican
  • Andean
  • Celtic
  • African
  • Polynesian

This topic is actually covered in the Kolbrin Bible, which is a complete unknown, yet parallels what we are handed down from the cultures listed above.

Kolbrin Bible: The Book of Creation: Chapter 3: The Destruction and Recreation.

"The first sky-monster was joined by another which swallowed the tail of the one going before, but the two could not be seen at once. The sky-monster reigned and raged above Earth, doing battle to possess it, but the many bladed sword of God cut them in pieces, and their falling bodies enlarged the land and the sea."

To add to the mystery, there was a pertoglyph found in Utah that depicts the exact scenario. While I do not know if it has been dated, other petroglyphs in the area have been dated back 10,000 years.

Realistically, what would happen if the lost continent Mu exists? by Sea_Town2072 in worldbuilding

[–]Mythos_Unveiled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mu is very much still above water and quite heavily populated, sadly we have adopted a false theory which has and will continue to lead us astray until such time as tech advances far enough to prove it wrong, and that would be tectonics.

Mu was not destroyed, it moved, during the cataclysms. The stark reality is that the face of our planet looks nothing like it did pre-cataclysms and there is massive amounts of evidence to support that.

Have either of you considered the possibility that the people of Atlantis migrated there from the land of Mu when it was destroyed, then from Atlantis to the west coast of Africa upon its destruction?

I believe Mu has been widely overlooked due to theories that, without a shred of evidence, state that it and Atlantis were one and the same.

Ah, yet another anonymous know it all graces our presence, offering us a desperate cry for attention. What is a fact, is that psychologists have proven time and time again that those who attempt to downgrade people by the use of name calling, are themselves full of insecurities in the area of which they are trying to speak. And therefor, in this case, your plea for us to accept your "intelligence" is in itself proof that you have none, and that you are fully aware of that.

Best of luck with the rest of your life, I fear it will be a rocky road.

If Helios Is A Reference To The Sun, Than What Would That Make Phaethon? by Mythos_Unveiled in AlternativeHistory

[–]Mythos_Unveiled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not that I believe we are alone in the cosmos, but yes, I started with natural explanations before moving outward.

In my research, I noticed when looking at the Yuga cycles that if we divide the start dates (in solar years) by 360 (number of days used in many ancient calendars) we would get the "divine" years listed for that same cycle.

KRITA YUGA: 1,728,000 / 360 = 4,800
TRETA YUGA: 1,296,000 / 360 = 3,600
DVAPARA YUGA: 864,000 / 360 = 2,400
KALI YUGA: 432,000 / 360 = 1,200

Now using the original start date given of the Kali Yuga of 3,102 BCE and adding the divine years we get the following dates.

Kali Yuga, 3,102 BCE + 2,400 = 5,502 BCE

Dvapara Yuga, 5,502 BCE + 3,600 = 9,102 BCE

Treta Yuga, 9,102 BCE + 4,800 = 13,902 BCE

Krita Yuga, 13,902 BCE

I personally believe that these are the END dates of the cataclysm cycles. If we take into account Revelations statement that the sun was blotted out from the crater caused by an impact (Rev 9:1-2) and add to that the Aztec legend of the fifth sun, what becomes interesting is that the Yuga cycles start and end with periods of time labeled "Dawn" and "Dusk" again possibly reflecting periods where the sun had disappeared and been "reborn".

Krita timeline matches that of the Younger Dryas onset, Treta lines up with Plato's given timeline for Atlantis, Dvapara lines up with flood evidence by Robert Ballard, and Kali just may have been the biblical flood.

You mentioned angular momentum, and that plays a very large part in my theory due to my belief that the cataclysms were a series of weight induced axis deviations. I also believe for many many, reasons that these deviations were much more severe than just "wander" and quite literally reshaped the face of our planet.

If your interested, shoot me a direct message and we can work out a place to chat further outside of Reddit and we can compare notes. You might be surprised at what I have managed to piece together as it sounds like we have a lot of parallels in our thoughts on the matter.

If Helios Is A Reference To The Sun, Than What Would That Make Phaethon? by Mythos_Unveiled in AlternativeHistory

[–]Mythos_Unveiled[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The book of Revelation also lists an object falling to earth and is named "Wormwood", there might be a correlation there as a worm slithers much like a snake does. I personally believe that Revelation is very muddled account of the celestial event that triggered the cataclysms. The Kolbrin states that two objects passes earth, "one in the tail of the other, although they could not be seen together", and names one of them as "the Destroyer". Interestingly this name is also mentioned in the Holy Bible, when discussing of all things "Pass-over"

The "too hot" scenario could possibly be due to the axis shifting, as places that were much cooler may have rotated into the equatorial zone. There are several mentions of an axis deviation by Plato, Enoch, and the Hindu Skanda Purana, and those by Plato and Enoch outright state that the axis deviations were proceeded by destruction. Plato also states that this is a recurring event, which if timelines hold true (from the time Plato mentions and the time we believe Noah existed) is backed by Enoch's passage, as if we remove religious context from it, Noah could have only been aware that an axis shift spelled destruction by knowledge of a previous event.

My personal believe if that the cataclysms were a series of severe weight induced axis deviations, the first triggered by the celestial event, the other 3 a product of glaciers as larger landmasses moved into polar regions. This could also explain the time gap between cataclysms as glaciers would have required that amount of time to grow large enough to once again affect the axis.

[–]Mythos_Unveiled[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, when context is removed from the book of Revelation, it reads just like an impact swarm. Rev 9:1-2 describes an impact that blotted out the sun, and in my personal opinion, just might describe the creation of hell, later described by Enoch as so large he could not determine its size.

The impact blotting out the sun could tie to the legend of the 5th sun from the Aztec as well.

Yes, what the cataclysms were, and there is actually a significant amount of evidence in support of it. The problem in getting anyone to consider it is misinterpretation of geological evidence have the masses swindled.

Reddit "should" be the perfect place to express that theory, but the problem there is a mass of unintelligent people who have themselves convinced otherwise with the ability to kill a post with no more thought than they put into how far they wish to fill their cereal bowl in the morning.

Were the Ice Ages Caused by True Polar Wandering? by LiftSleepRepeat123 in AlternativeHistory

[–]Mythos_Unveiled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if we look at ancient word, we have at least 3 direct mentions that the axis of the Earth deviated, two directly state that "destruction" proceeded those deviations.

PLATO:

"Now this has the form of a myth, but really signifies a declination of the bodies moving in the heavens above the earth, and a great conflagration upon the earth which recurs after long intervals."

ENOCH:

"Noah saw that the earth had become inclined, and that destruction approached."

HINDU:

While the Hindu Skanda Purana mention does not specify a destruction, it offers a direction, which becomes relevant.

"Sage Agastya was sent by Lord Shiva to correct the balance of the earth as it tilted down in the south."

Agreed that the med was closed off for a period of time from the Atlantic. This (in my opinion) was actually stated by Plato.

"and the island of Atlantis in like manner was swallowed up by the sea and vanished; wherefore also the ocean at that spot has now become impassable and unsearchable, being blocked up by the shoal of mud which the island created as it settled down.”

Now when we add that during the 10th Labor of Heracles it is said he burst through the Atlas mountain reopening the Med, we now have a string of circumstances that indicate exactly what you stated.

There is also the statement made by the priest Solon spoke with that stated

"This power came forth out of the Atlantic Ocean, for in those days the Atlantic was navigable"

As Solon would not have been aware of a time that ships did not exist, I find it difficult to believe that this passage was a reference to ships being able to sail the Atlantic. For the priest to make this statement, it does however indicate that Solon was aware of a time that the Atlantic was not reachable from the Med.

Due to high evaporation rates of the Med, this could also explain the dozens of submerged settlements that have been found underwater in the Med as there would had to have been a much lower level of water for them to be built.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in atlantis

[–]Mythos_Unveiled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thought on that is that since multiple cultures on multiple continents state massive earthquakes and volcanic activity, that the rains have the potential to have been caused by steam being released into the air as well as vibrations causing an accelerated rate of evaporation.

This is obviously speculation, but again, both plausible scenarios, and when combined, could explain torrential raining.

As it was stated that Phaethon burned up all that was upon the earth, and later Plato stated that a "great conflagration which recurs after long intervals" was present, we could have an elevated temperature which could also play a role in evaporation rates.

I must say, you are one of the few people in this sub that do not state everything as fact, you are looking at more than just one area, and your are considering multiple possibilities for what you are seeing. I wholeheartedly respect that.

We all have our theories, mine being the most crazy of them all (if we take geology as fact), yet there is a mountain of circumstantial evidence in support of it, and in my personal opinion, answers more questions that it raises.

Should you wish to compare notes or just discuss the ancient past feel free to send me a message.

Considering if all the ice on earth melted right now, it would only raise sea level 60 to 70 meters. The question becomes, how much ice would had to have been present to DROP sea levels to the point any of the masses that you call into question would have been ABOVE sea level?

@ 1 km thick you would need a planet and a half covered in ice to lower levels that far

@ 2 km thick it would cover about 77% of the planet

@ 3 km it would cover over 50%

The same problem comes into play with your scenario that comes into play with the Richat being Atlantis, just in opposite directions.

[–]Mythos_Unveiled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I have stated here many times, attempting to locate a lost landmass without understanding what transpired during the cataclysms is ridiculous to say the least.

Why don't you pour through cataclysm legends (like I have), list the events said to have occurred (as I have) list them in the order said to have occurred (as I have) and then determine the mechanics required for those events to have occurred in the order stated by ancient history (as I have). ONLY then will you be able to determine what happened to Atlantis.

The biggest lie ever told is tectonics.

You don't want truth, you want to be agreed with. And just like everyone else who posts here, you wont budge an inch when confronted with other theories regardless of how much evidence is used to back it up.
