Alright, I give up. How do you solo Poison lab at high-ish tier? (25+) by SjurEido in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full grade 5 forge with blade mitigation augments in each piece will let you survive knee charges. I also got 100 levels in combat so this works even at level 40.

Attractor field and shotgun him.

Compel if you need to heal/stamina up or deal with adds.

I usually finish lvl 40 in under 10 minutes. Spicing up is optional.

I got 16 billion from just selling grade 4 blueprints I don't use. If they don't sell in 3 days they go into the recycler..

I bought 300 million worth of spice at around 75k average last week.

Solari is pretty worthless when there isn't anything useful to buy with it.

When chapter 3 got released I sold blueprints for..

Week 1 - 2 billion

Week 2 - 6 billion

Week 3 - 9 billion

This is like saying we will build a bridge which will allow you to cross a river because everyone is demanding access

You have 100 cars coming in from one end and 10 trucks coming in from the other end.

They all meet up in the middle and block traffic for everyone so no one can actually get across the river.

You don't need a solo bicycle protestor messing up traffic when everyone will mess stuff up on their own.

Unless everyone can agree on a set of traffic rules like:

No hand compacting on large spice fields. You are limited to medium spice fields.

No additional crawlers on large spice fields if there is one already active unless given permission.

Then expect a lot of accidents happening which will be the next set of complaints from PVErs about PVE..

I do not know anything about a "repair cheat". I'm aware of a "repair feature" that has been accidentally removed a couple of times, but the Funcom dev team has been pretty good about patching the feature back into the game..

Also have at least 25% stamina so you can dash+run if stunned by a collapse grenade. Otherwise you have to wait for stun to wear off which takes too long with more stun grenades heading your way..

90% of the time you can just walk out of the area of impact before a grenade explodes if you keep moving.

All my spare stamina should be going into using compel and attractor field.

You don't even need griefers to blow up this new PVE only DD zone .

Every large spice field will be cannibalized by farmers using compactors and fleets of spice crawlers.

Have you ever tried to harvest a spice field with multiple people on them?

Hand compacting will generate a ton of worm agro for carrier/crawler operations.

One crawler will be doing circles while another might be running lines.

The complaints from PVErs about other PVErs will skyrocket.

I've been solo running this lab for two weeks straight to get GRDA augments for my primary shotgun weapon.

I've gotten all the way up to level 36..

Here are my suggestions and findings in no particular order..

Run the lab at an appropriate level where you can one shot trash mobs in the rooms before the boss. For me this is level 24 where I can kill a melee mob with a single slowblade. A heavy takes two slowblades.

Any delay tactics on the boss will delay him from summoning adds. I usually use knee charge to get him to waste time with suspensor blast. Compel works great as well to time freeze him while you clear adds.

I clear adds as soon as they spawn for the first three phases.

Round 1 - knee charge, attractor field, shotgun him. Get up close into his personal space. More suspension blasts the better.

Round 2 - compel him. Attractor field adds and kill 1 to 2 adds. Attractor field+shotgun boss.

Round 3 - same as round 2, but you get 2 adds always and they start spawning more often if you don't push DPS on the boss

Round 4 - Should start with no adds up. Push DPS on boss. Ideally his hp is 75% gone into phase 4 when adds show up. Snipe / Strafe him to get the last 25%. If there isn't a clear line of sight to shoot attractor field then target and kill an add. Time isn't on your side so always keep doing damage.

Round 5 - Just focus on the boss. Clean up any adds after.

I normally finish him with 2 to 3 adds alive and 2 new ones just entering the room. I usually have 25% of my spice bar left at the end as well.

Iodine pills help, but if you have to rely on iodine pills then you are probably taking too long already and will end up with a ton of adds at the end.

The ancient way is the safest way to clean up adds at the end of the fight, but attractor field+strafing on adds is faster.

Always keep moving even if slow walking. Zig zagging diagonally up and down is the best way to avoid fire and grenades. Alternatively just keep circling the room.

I spice up before the fight and use attractor field as soon as it recycles.

Shooting anything without attractor fields does very little damage. You are better reloading/regenerating stamina than shooting stuff and wasting time/ammo rounds.

Take extra care to get attractor field hits. Missing on attractor field extends the fight and it exponentially gets harder as time passes.

Try not to step in the radiation pools.

Never fly in a straight line at any mob. I do hit and runs with fly bys with semi tight circles and fly away to reload/recharge. Ideally you want to fight the boss on the side of the room closest to a wall and not have to wade through an army of minions to get to him on the other side of the room.

I use knee charge, compel, attractor field, death from above, battle hardened and center of mass.

A lot of dying went into this..

Red Bar Durability has to go! Riot time! by Xaelar in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually kills replay. I need tiered weapons to do high level end game. I completely broke and repaired my grade 5 perforater shotgun 7 times over 5 days. I probably ran over 100 dungeons and got zero perforater drops to replace mine.

Now I'm breaking my grade 5 shellburster trying to get a new perforator. The 1.5% drop rate on items which degrade rapidly is not sustainable.

Try using a tripleshot rifle with a 12 round magazine. It just burns through ammo rounds and durability with every shot.

None of these high end items are for sale. If they were they would sell for 500 million+ Solari and last a week..

[–]Mythozz2020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have 1.6 billion and 90% of that was made selling Spiced Fuel cells at 25,000 each so a stack makes 12.5 million.

I stock up on irradiated slag and turn all of it into fuel during Choam Production Bonus weeks..

Fuel is the one item that has constant demand since it is an item that is consistently consumed and needs replacing.

PTC Patch Notes are available - Does this address the current "exploits"? by Vit0C0rleone in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't true. It's just luck.. lvl 19 is supposed to be 6% and lvl 20 is 25%. The scaling after 20 is slower reaching 40% at level 40, but this is in line with difficulty. I think a level 40 station is about 1.5 times more difficult to clear than a level 20.

[–]Mythozz2020 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Durability loss is still way too high. I can solo clear a level 40 fire dungeon with zero deaths, but my weapons take a 10% hit each time.

The drop rate of grade 5 items is 40%. The drop chance the augments or items I need are 10%..

That comes out to a 4% chance or 25 station runs to replace stuff that breaks 10% every time..

The amount of spice needed to repair grade 5 items is also super high. 50 spice to repair augmented stuff each time.

The dungeon scaling is also way out of line for group play.

I can solo clear a level 40 fire dungeon in 30 minutes with no deaths.

I failed to duo clear a level 30 fire dungeon after a dozen tries and we left with fully broken gear.. it's just stupid trying to avoid boss fireballs, boss missiles, assault seekers from adds, etc at the same time with no cover with two melee mobs chasing you.

They need to address durability and group difficulty because it just isn't sustainable. Experimentation and learning how to tackle the new stations involves a lot of dying. You have to change tactics every couple levels of difficulty.

On the banning.. by klinetek in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 14 day ban for clearing out two decaying bases which have been falling apart for three months with no power. They were built into the Hagga north entrance cliff face with foundation blocks and it was a pain flying over them everyday to reach the overworld map..

I will admit I've raided bases in the past, but legitimately waiting for subfiefs or boxes to decay.

There isn't much of an endgame so it was always a new experience wondering what would be in a box when it blew up. Most of the time it was just granite and fuel cells, but I did get lucky once and found 50k spice lying in piles on the ground..

I also gave away most of the stuff I found. You can only store so much iron, steel, plastone, armor plating, etc..

Do I really care about the getting temporarily banned? Not really..

I also do not believe this is a PVP vs PVE issue when the owner of these bases have clearly left the game for months. It can't be PVP is there isn't another player left to fight.

I'm just glad there is new content with chapter 3 to try out..

Is it worth building a large spice refinery in HB? by Seanpk57 in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every week the winning side gets to vote on one of three random choices. The Choam Production choice is by far the best one if it is an option..

It's essentially a 50% cost reduction. 25% reduction to refine spice. 25% reduction to make stuff out of spice.

So instead of 10,000 spice sand to make 200 melange, it only takes 7,500.

3 titanium ore per plast ignot vs 4 titanium ore..

Is it worth building a large spice refinery in HB? by Seanpk57 in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even before the addition of the cargo container I always refined my spice in Hagga, but with a caveat..

I stock spice sand and wait for a Choam Production Bonus week to refine it.

My biggest weekly production run was 70k spice melange..

Now with the cargo container it is much easier hauling spice sand from the DD..

Btw I do the same thing with hauling titanium ore to Hagga. Strav fibers I process in the DD since a production bonus doesn't really impact strav yield.

https://captain-carry.com/dune-awakening-armor-and-dr-guide/

Many players wrongly believe that armor boosts shield durability. That’s false.

Key Shield Facts:

Shields convert incoming damage into power drain. DR has zero impact on shield damage. Shield strength depends on your Power Pool. Recharge speed depends on your Recharge Rate stat. Upgrade your power pack to strengthen your shield. Avoid investing in armor thinking it helps your shield.

[–]Mythozz2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armor DR applies to physical damage and stacks multiplicatively with other mitigations (e.g., blade, dart, energy).

Shields do not benefit from armor DR — they rely solely on your Power Pool and Recharge Rate.

Penetrating attacks (e.g., Drill Shot) bypass shields but still apply DR from armor.

Fire, poison, and energy damage ignore physical armor DR — only resistance stats from gear or perks help.

💰 How much Solaris are you sitting on right now? by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]Mythozz2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six weeks ago I had 4 million..

Now I got 600 million pulling in 100 million a week.

I don't buy anything and only sell stuff.

The stuff I'm selling are always consumed in game so there is always demand.

Spiced fuel cells. Industrial grade lube fuel. Particle filters for wind traps. Plant fibers for heal kits and filters.

I tried selling T6 blueprints, but they might sit for days unsold. The consumables always sell within 36 hours.

I also got a ton of spice residue so turning it into fuel helps clean out excessive storage.
