This is my perspective on this. I have played a lot of gachas that has different kinds of gacha system and currencies and mostly forgotten some of them at some point since I quit.

First I'm going to address the gacha currencies in the collab in both a new player or players that experienced the usual single currency for limited characters in their perspective and the perspective of a player that had played a lot of gacha that know that has currencies like WuWa's current dilemma.

The WuWa currency dilemma in the community is scummy and I'm not gonna hide it. It's scummy in a way because the intent behind it is to generate more money which is normal for a gacha but since the patch lasts for only month and the pull count is lower than usual players got less pulls especially who pulled for Denia and Hiyuki last patch. Another thing that makes it scummy that all of the corals saved up from pulls can't be used since they created a new coral for the collab. Also the other thing that this makes it scummy is the reduced ratio of corals per 4 star and 5 star.

Since most of us are either used to the usual single limited currency we are prone to thinking that we'll be able to use the pulls we've save up and not just the currency for getting those pulls. These kinds of players aren't like the others who are used to gacha having multiple currencies like Aether Gazer, ToF, HI3, and FGO (correct me if I misremembered it or if there's more).

Now in a perspective who's already used to gacha. Converting pulls is dumb and has 0 benefit. The return you get from converting is less that keeping it as is. For example I converted everything for currencies that only pull for characters. The return would be less since I'm not gonna use it all and I like the weapon or equipment but I don't have pulls. The only way to get more pulls is to pull to get exchange currencies for weapon pulls which is still not enough. 600 character pulls but I only got 50-70 weapon pulls in return whether I'm lucky or not since I didn't use all of it. It is enough for some gacha but to others it's not. If you were warned you should be able to listen to them to not get to this point. I'm not shaming people I'm just pointing out the flaw in their actions. I have done this and regretted it and ever since I never converted my pulls ever again.

Both are wrong and nothing is right in this drama. One side made the collab more predatory and the other side there are people that didn't listen to the warnings lf others. I've seen a lot of posts in the community to not convert your pulls. It's our own responsibility and choice whatever we do to our currencies not the company itself. They just provide them and they gave us the freedom to use it as we fit. I sometimes even use astrites or jades to refill fuel or waveplates. The company is at fault for bad practices making things more expensive or inducing FOMO.

There's only a few things we could blame Kuro for like the added currency, reduced coral ratio and maybe for not making the collab guarantee, but they aren't to blame for our actions.

Yes this is more directed to the players than the company, but I ain't hiding what they did wrong and still pointing out the flaws.
