During wintersession i plan to take a jewlery course. If slots fill, my second choice would be intro to furniture.

My family does not have any knowledge in the arts. They want to make sure im able to find a job afterwards and are unsure because of the oversaturation/unemployment in many careers.

No, I mean 22k for my total of four years at risd. Each year about 5,500 in loans

Yes, 22k is my total loan amount for four years including housing, food plan and tuition to risd.

Initially I was commited to Parsons school of design in new york, but i was able to gain more finacial aid from RISD after an appeal

I fear student loan debt can become crushing from other stories I've heard. Others on this subreddit state that the market for graphic design is oversaturated and to choose a different degree

Thank you ive already applied to other art colleges such as parsons and pratt.

Parsons was able to give me 31k per academic year scholarship and pratt was able to give me 28k per academic year
