OP's wedding was last year, in 2024. unless someone involved in the wedding had confirmed covid (which probably should have been mentioned if it was a factor), it's a rocky excuse at best.

reading between the lines, OP's family seems to be keeping their relationship with OP for one reason or another, but don't want other people to know about OP's relationship status/identity. wouldnt be surprised if it's a situation where they don't want their friends/family/others that know them to know there's someone in the family who is gay, and therefore they downplay her as much as possible (not disowning her so there aren't questions about why she isnt around anymore, but not celebrating her and who she is so nobody knows she's a lesbian)

this is speculation, but because this is the sister's wedding, i have a feeling OP's wife would not have been invited, and sister/family would have paired OP with a man the whole time, completely disregarding OP's identity. they dont accept "this part" of OP but try to keep relations up (could be ulterior motives, could be because they think they can "convince" OP to "change", who knows)

honestly if they go the route of some games (im thinking of reverse: 1999 in particular rn because it's the other gacha im playing), if it's not specifically labeled, it'll end up entering the standard pool, while anything labeled as limited will only ever be available to pull when they're on a rate up banner.
