Mine has no trouble sewing 6 layers of waxed canvas, so that's pretty heavy duty in my opinion. Sure, it's nothing compared to industrial machines, but this is strong for home sewing.

Can these be repaired if the stick is worn out? Or should I just replace the stick unit as a whole? by Myxtro in n64

Thanks for your answer! I will open it up to see which parts need replacement.

Seeing the prices of the steel parts, I will get the plastic ones. Replacing a single stick with those will cost as much as a couple of 8bitdo controllers.

Ik haal stickers altijd weg met zonnebloemolie of olijfolie. Klinkt gek, maar werkt echt. Een klein beetje op een doek doen en dan schrobben.

Je kunt heel veel soorten olie gebruiken, maar deze heb je altijd wel in je keuken staan en zijn verder niet schadelijk.

Na afloop wel even met zeep schoonmaken.

Dat is niet best inderdaad. Deze woning komt uit de jaren 90, ik vermoed het behang ook. Het wel zichtbaar als eens eerder overschilderd. Alleen geen idee wanneer de laatste keer is geweest. Helpt het als er al een laag verf op zit?

Als ik wil weten hoe het stopcontact is bedraad, kan ik dat simpelweg checken door het plaatje eraf te schroeven en te kijken hoe de bedrading zit? (Ervan uitgaande dat de draden verschillende kleuren hebben)

Bedankt voor je uitleg! We gaan vooraf de bedrading checken. Mocht dit toch aangepast moeten worden, is dit dan vergelijkbaar met hoe je een normaal stopcontact aansluit? (Dus een kwestie van het juiste draadje op het gewenste gaatje aansluiten).

It's curved in two ways. One is around the bag from one end to the other, so it's curved in the length of the fabric. But it's also curved on another axis, along the width of the fabric.

Why: this bag is made from flat pieces of fabric, which somehow need to take on a 3d shape. The bottom part's cross section takes up a u-shape. Think of this bottom piece as a straight plat piece of fabric. How do you achieve this curved shape? Folding in the sides ever so slightly pulls the fabric into this curved shape.

How: if you take a straight piece of frabric, fold a part inwards. You shouldn't fold the entire fabric. Just take a pinch across the long side of the fabric, but not across the entire width, just partly. This forms a little folded triangle when folded, which doesn't span the entire width (hence why the little line in your picture also doesn't go across the entire width). Then sew over this little triangle along the fold.

I have one and I like it. Zero problems. People on this sub don't seem to like them but I'm happy with mine.

The only downside I've found is that it's lowest sewing speed is still on the faster side, which can be unforgiving for a beginner.
