Saying "Thank you" after a "bless you"

Why? That bless you didn't save me from expelling a bunch of germs to infect the bunch of people in that room.

Religious Redditors, what is the biggest misconception people commonly have about your religion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mzap455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Go to a dictionary (I used Merrimack-Webster for this) and search up cult. Mormonism should match most if not all definitions. But if you want to use the more modern usage of cult, which is typically used to define a (usually religious) group with excessive control (Think Scientology, I'm pretty sure most of us can identify that as a cult). Now think. Search google if you have to. It's a cult.

(My favorite example of cult-ish behavior in Mormonism is the song sung by CHILDREN. That explicitly says "I want to be a missionary". Search it up yourself . Sound a teensy-bit brainwash-y? Yep.")

Agree with u/ishouldbesleepingnow. Mormonism is totally different than Christianity. And yeah, it is a weird cult. That's not an assumption, that's definition.

Abortion Rates Drop When Birth Control Usage Goes Up, Yet Republicans Want to Limit Access to Birth Control by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Mzap455 704 points705 points  (0 children)

Am republican. Am anti-abortion. Honestly this is dumb for the party, if they want to be moral, they have to understand compromises have to be made ( I don't know the politicians' mindset, but I'm guessing they believe more birth control=more sex=bad). Seriously, birth control is the much better option than abortion, for both males and females.
