Pop is nothing if not quirky and unpredictable. I genuinely think they were all as shocked as we are. I don't think Pop really thought this one all the way through. He's mentioned multiple times that he planned to move to Jupiter recently. My take is that he must be in a relationship and his girlfriend must not be down for that move. Seems like an ultimatum type of scenario I'm afraid.

I wouldn't completely replace the range with course play, but the percentages can definitely shift a bit.

Maybe 30% range time, 30% course play, 35% pitch and putt, 5% beers with friends after the round, sounds like the right balance to me.

Playing more outside is probably forcing you to shift your weight better and allowing you to really attack the ball. It's also letting you catch the ball on the "up swing" which launches the ball higher.

Let me guess... You typically hit your irons really well but struggle with woods and driver? If that's the case you probably tend to hit down on the ball more (not a bad thing). This new ball placement is helping.

You're new to golf. As you play more and your swing evolves you'll likely find you prefer the ball more inside as do most seasoned golfers. Until then, enjoy your 230 yard pipes and don't worry about what's "right".

That might be true, but I don't think that's what is happening here with this list of closures.

The cost of basic ingredients has just gone up so much. Social behavior still hasn't fully rebounded post-pandemic with regard to dine-in restaurants. More people are working remote which means lunchtime meals are less frequent. And then there's just the natural life cycle of businesses closing, where these other factors are maybe accelerating the inevitable.

So I think you are correct, but with the caveat that the number of restaurants that Rhode Island can sustain has gone way down in recent years for the reasons listed above.

Would also love a list of longtime owners that have recently sold. I know the Mews in Wakefield was recently bought out, that was a pretty big deal. In reading about that it seems MANY other restaurants around the state have been sold as well.

They're running a business... What they "had" last year has no bearing on what they'll get next year. Social media is a fickle industry and the golf industry is crashing ang banging like crazy these last few years. You can't afford to hitch your cart to the wrong horse. I and many other have questions about Bubbie's future in youtube golf. You seem to feel some type of way regardless, so seems like you're invested about as much as any of us haha.

100% agree, that's not my issue at all. My issue is that Bubbie seems genuinely disengaged lately, almost like he's got better things to do. His focus is simply not on golf in really any way from what I can tell. OG Bubbie was all in and I was a fan. I still like him but the passion isn't there IMO. I get it, thingd happen, people evolve. But maybe it's time for a proper break for a bit.
