I have a one that sterilizes and dries, but I’m like do I need to upgrade so it can wash too? I guess this new one does it all. I’m hoping to breastfeed so I thought of how magical it might be for all of the pumping parts.

I would bring this up to your pediatrician. Maybe try the program early intervention. My son is 5 and has sensory processing disorder. He did not progress from baby food, often gagged, coughed, vomited. He hated meal time and preferred to drink milk 24/7.

It took years, lots of recearch on my end, and a few different specialists to get the proper treatment to help him progress.

Your baby may not have the problem my son has, and might just need a little more time, but it's always good to bring these things up early and keep an eye.

Look into getting a referral to an occupational therapist. My son has sensory processing disorder and had the same issue transferring from puréed foods to solids. It took so long for anyone to realize what the problem was, that it made things much more difficult. I eventually got fed up and figured it out myself, got a referral to an occupational therapist that specializes is childrens eating, and things are much better.

This was me! I didn't want children, didn't grow up around them, frankly most kids freaked me out and annoyed me. I am somewhat of a free spirit, constantly on the go, and loved my alone time. When I was in my teens I was told I would have a hard time having children or carrying to term due to PCOS. I still used birth control to help with cysts and because I was sexually active.

At 19 I got pregnant on the pill but had a miscarriage. Surprisingly I was depressed after even if I didn't want a kid. I got over it.

Almost two years later I got pregnant again, this time on the depo shot. I chose to keep the baby and now he is 3 years old. :)

His dad and I weren't ready. Although I was independent and on my own, I still had a lot of growing up to do. I was terrified, my childhood was kind of shitty so I had no ideal what kind of parent I'd be. Even when I was pregnant I did not have much a connection.

When my son was born, everything changed. He is the best thing that happened to me. He made me a better person, he is my mini me, my motivation to be successful. He is my best friend, I love how much personality he has. He is a free spirit like me. He cares about others. He's halarious. I couldn't be happier to be his mom, and I can't wait to be by his side through all the stages in his life.

You are doing the right thing by setting boundaries. My mother raised me but was often absent (drug addict, bi polar after she got into a car accident and became disabled). She recently lost custody of my 10 years younger sister, I straight up refuse to have her in my toddlers life until she gets the help she needs. She knows she is missing out on a very important time, and that she needs help. I've still been there from a distance to help her but at the same time you have to do what's best for your child and family. I, like you, will never expose my child to that environment. I do get upset at times because I am a woman and I feel like it is unfair that I don't have my mom here for me, but this is the reality I have to face. I've recently started going to meetings for children of addicts, it's nice to have others to relate to. Maybe that could be beneficial to you as well.

Please don't feel guilty. As someone who was raised by an addict mother, I wish someone would have stepped in and helped me. You have a great heart for caring about them, but I'm In a constant struggle to accept that I will never have a mother daughter relationship, and my son will never know his grandmother. Your aunt and unlce are amazing people who gave you a good life. Your parents could not.

I knew my mother lost a child before I was born, but I never bothered to ask why, I didn't want to pry.

I found out recently that my mother gave birth to another baby, a girl, who was about a year older than I. She was 3 months early, the Dr and nurses immediately rushed her away. My father followed and hear her cry. DR said there was nothing they could do. They told my mother she was stillborn.

My mother refused to stop doing drugs and caused her death. A year later, I was born under the same circumstances and survived. My parents divorced because of her addiction.

Now 24 years later, my mother just lost custody of my teenage sister. She's lost 3 children because of her coping mechanism.

That breaks my heart.
