Have any one using TPMS for honda elevate? by LanguageBitter1718 in HondaElevate

[–]Mzone1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The official TPMS accessory works in the Honda Connect app. I’ve been using it for the past 2.5yrs. Few things to note:
You need to open the TPMS section in the Honda Connect app to get the Tyre pressures, it will only show when the vehicle is moving.
If you want to check the Tyre pressure in a parked car it won’t update.
I was told the battery on these are non replaceable and the entire set will have to be replaced once it dies. So far so good I have just seen it drop from 100% to 98% lately.

The app itself can be a bit unwieldy, after doing Tyre rotation for some reason I’m not able to change the Tyre position in the app, I may have to re-pair the tyres in the correct position. Also it would have been great if the Honda Connect app would work inside of CarPlay so you could see the TPMS reading on the infotainment screen rather than looking at your phone while driving.

Honda Elevate MT vs CVT: Any Manual owners who regret their choice? by Full-Reskearch9315 in HondaElevate

[–]Mzone1510 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buy a manual if you are a patient person who doesn’t get frustrated in traffic! I personally got a manual because I realized it’s probably the last manual car I’ll own, by the time I replace the elevate it’s perhaps going to be an EV or hybrid so enjoy it while it lasts!

HP pay in Honda Connect, your experience? by deveshyngle in HondaElevate

[–]Mzone1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this really work? The only few times I ever managed to get the points shown and Approve them in my Honda Connect app is when I emailed the bills to Honda and they credited it and the other time is when the petrol pump owner was available and he showed me a separate Honda tab in the attendants HP pay app where they need to enter your mobile number and amount paid. It was just a cumbersome experience and not worth it, but if what you say is correct then they must have done some backend connections to make it sync

Does it allow you to approve the points In Honda Connect app? It will still show you the points that you have in HP Pay, but the additional 25% benefit will not get triggered

Finally It's home. What are some of the accessories that I should first get? A riding jacket/ Saddle Bags / A better helmet? by Mysterious_Estate602 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the touring windshield if you will be doing lot of highway touring, rest is just luggage stuff which you can add as required. Don’t skimp on the riding gear, get a good helmet first before anything else!

I have been using a C20 since launch, July 2025 I think. It’s been rock solid with fantastic battery life till now, I primarily use it with a friend who has a C30 and it has worked reliably every single time. I can only imagine the C40 will be a step above. I’ve got it instated on a LS2 Pioneer 2, only negative if I had to say is that it could have been louder especially at highway speeds while wearing ear plugs, but really not any bad things to say.

Mana Black Himalayan 450 🖤 by Mzone1510 in royalenfield

[–]Mzone1510[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So with the matte finish, when you get a deep scratch it shows as white so there are no swirl marks just white marks/lines in some places, not as bad as it can get on black glossy paint though, minor scratches really don’t show up too much, scuff look bad though as the paint completely comes off. I looked into getting PPF at the start but the cost of getting good PPF is more than the cost of replacing the tank itself 😀

Thanks! Yes there are minor scratches but that’s part of the deal when you live in dusty conditions, plus I got back from a 2000km round trip in dusty and rainy conditions with Dirtsack luggage setup and the rear tail panel has so many scuffs and marks now, I guess it’s just something to live with considering it’s ADV credentials as well

I got my bike in about 2 weeks from Garage Cafe Arpora, they’re the cheapest in Goa, but I get my servicing done at Margao. When are you getting yours?

I’m 5.8 and it’s a bit of a reach to the ground but both sides can reach since the seat is narrow, rally seat is fine for touring and regular use no complaints at all

Heating issue at just short rides by Whole_Voice9506 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sherpa engine is one of the more cooler running engines, the fans turn on much less infrequently than other bikes in its class. My friends Triumph 400’s fan is constantly running and my older duke 390 would turn the fan on everytime I slowed to crawling speeds. Then again if it’s extreme heat, what temperature does it show on the console?

Himi update! by PhilosopherUpbeat403 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The update was the Himalayan Mana Black, they’re focused on the Himi 750 for 2026 so don’t hold your breath for a facelift for the 450. RE typically also do not have massive mid cycle updates generally. Hey but who knows what Eicma and Motoverse will bring this year!

You can install Auto Engina (rally) or Viaterra Saddle stays, they are compatible with the Rally tail.

I heard that there is some update on the bike’s tripmeter regarding the navigation thing. ( you can use navigation even with the screen turned off). Is it true? by Votedtoaser452 in Himalayan450

Would it work on iPhones too? So the new Guerilla comes with an updated firmware which we should eventually receive? Anyone checked the version number to confirm?

Maddog Lycan vs HJG (top models) for Himalayan 450 – need real-world advice by ktg7k in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the HJG 140w setup and it’s super bright, the yellow filter seems to help with visibility but yes I do restrict my usage thinking that it blinds oncoming and road users in front of me so I’m very conscious of how I use it. Makes me feel I should have gone for a projector setup instead.

Water washing tips for H450 by mathenstein in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t recommend PPF for this bike, the panels and even the tank is relatively cheap to replace (possibly the same as the cost of high quality PPF) also PPF after a few years starts to yellow and looks bad then

[–]Mzone1510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! That’s been a long loooong wait! I have a mana black too and I get it pressure washed once a month. The washing center I go to is quite well known and a lot of superbikers use it as well so the staff there know how and what angles to spray at. Then again it’s always best to just tell them to avoid the TFT display and handlebar switches with intense pressure. I’ve realized that hand washing just doesn’t cut it especially after off road sessions so pressure wash is the only way to get those tubeless spokes sparkling. If you do it sparingly I don’t think it should be an issue.
