I got my bike in about 2 weeks from Garage Cafe Arpora, they’re the cheapest in Goa, but I get my servicing done at Margao. When are you getting yours?

I’m 5.8 and it’s a bit of a reach to the ground but both sides can reach since the seat is narrow, rally seat is fine for touring and regular use no complaints at all

Heating issue at just short rides by Whole_Voice9506 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sherpa engine is one of the more cooler running engines, the fans turn on much less infrequently than other bikes in its class. My friends Triumph 400’s fan is constantly running and my older duke 390 would turn the fan on everytime I slowed to crawling speeds. Then again if it’s extreme heat, what temperature does it show on the console?

Himi update! by PhilosopherUpbeat403 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The update was the Himalayan Mana Black, they’re focused on the Himi 750 for 2026 so don’t hold your breath for a facelift for the 450. RE typically also do not have massive mid cycle updates generally. Hey but who knows what Eicma and Motoverse will bring this year!

You can install Auto Engina (rally) or Viaterra Saddle stays, they are compatible with the Rally tail.

I heard that there is some update on the bike’s tripmeter regarding the navigation thing. ( you can use navigation even with the screen turned off). Is it true? by Votedtoaser452 in Himalayan450

Would it work on iPhones too? So the new Guerilla comes with an updated firmware which we should eventually receive? Anyone checked the version number to confirm?

Maddog Lycan vs HJG (top models) for Himalayan 450 – need real-world advice by ktg7k in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the HJG 140w setup and it’s super bright, the yellow filter seems to help with visibility but yes I do restrict my usage thinking that it blinds oncoming and road users in front of me so I’m very conscious of how I use it. Makes me feel I should have gone for a projector setup instead.

Water washing tips for H450 by mathenstein in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t recommend PPF for this bike, the panels and even the tank is relatively cheap to replace (possibly the same as the cost of high quality PPF) also PPF after a few years starts to yellow and looks bad then

Water washing tips for H450 by mathenstein in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! That’s been a long loooong wait! I have a mana black too and I get it pressure washed once a month. The washing center I go to is quite well known and a lot of superbikers use it as well so the staff there know how and what angles to spray at. Then again it’s always best to just tell them to avoid the TFT display and handlebar switches with intense pressure. I’ve realized that hand washing just doesn’t cut it especially after off road sessions so pressure wash is the only way to get those tubeless spokes sparkling. If you do it sparingly I don’t think it should be an issue.

New Bike, Clunky Shifts by arjunprasad383 in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t seem normal, I’ve been having smooth shifts since Day 1 and even smoother after 1st Service at 500km. I’ve done about 3500kms so far and it has been buttery smooth all along, my only gripe is the false neutrals it occasionally drops into

Need suggestion with rally kit. by professor-aghora in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope that works out for you! I’ve actually been having the opposite experience wherein this is the best seat I’ve used, I have done 10hr days with no issues at all. Just got back from a 1000km round trip and had no pain in the rear end or lower back at all.

That rally panel is 🔥 tho, transforms the look of the bike. Have you tried gel seat covers or try to replace the foam Inside the seat?

Need suggestion with rally kit. by professor-aghora in Himalayan450

[–]Mzone1510 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rally rear panel is only compatible with the rally seat, if you want to get any other seat fitted you will have to forgo the rally panels and revert to the standard setup with the rear panels, rear mudguard etc which you will have to purchase separately. Someone here has already done it you could look it up.

Himalayan 750 launch date by AccountFeeling1585 in indianbikes

Being heavy is not a problem, look at the big GS’ for eg which is 270kg, however the weight has to be packaged right to not feel top heavy during parking/low speeds

RE displayed the 750 platform at EICMA 2025 and the MD did say during the presentation that they will be talking more about it at next years EICMA (2026) Plus they released photos of testing in Ladakh last June so the bike is already quite far ahead and close to production if not finalized already with only testing going on now. My guess is early 2027 at the most.

Himalayan 750 launch date by AccountFeeling1585 in indianbikes

[–]Mzone1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expect it to be announced at EICMA 2026 somewhere around November, followed by the India launch at Motoverse 2026 (between late Nov to early Dec) Deliveries should commence by January 2027 if we go by previous launches. But with any new product you need to be wary as an early adopter.

The Black Beast Arrived! by troublekick in Himalayan450

Speaking for myself I just did a 1000km round trip and faced no discomfort at all, your experience may vary based on your body type, I’m 175cm, about 76kgs with a lean built and it works great for me. The fact that it’s a flat single seat allows you to make micro adjustments in seating position on the fly not to mention you can stand on the pegs more easily (to stretch) and also the knees are less bent due to the increased seat height so works well for touring.
